KODAMO - ESSENCEFM

Kodamo's EssenceFM, is (as the name is saying) a digital FM - synthesizer, with six operator for each voice and a polyphony of 300 voices.

The touch - screen UI, is making the EssenceFM, easy to use. It has an in - built effect - processor (dual), sixteen parts (multi - timbral), 24 editable waveforms, 3328 memory - slots (patches and voices), LP - filter, LFO, MIDI (in, out, thru), USB, ethernet, modulation - matrix (eight cords), arpeggiator, split and layer - possibilities, eight outputs (four stereo pairs), 24 - Bit DAC, 32 - bit float (48 kHz).

It's possible, to import, patches of the DX 7 (Yamaha) and the EssenceFM, can be rack - mounted.

FRED'S LAB - TÖÖRÖ

Yes, that's it's name! The Töörö, is a digital synthesizer, with an analog signal - path (stereo).

It's multi - timbral, with six voices and four parts. Every voice, has two oscillator (12 bit) with wave - shape function and factory and user wave - table.

It's filter, is working, twelve dB / octave.

There are shaper, LFO (two), a small fx - unit (delay and Chorus / flanger), arpeggiator, MIDI (in / out + thru), two envelopes (ADSR), ring - modulator and noise. A sine - modulator for the oscillator, auto - sync / hard - sync (oscillator), panning, modulation - matrix (eight slots), storage for onehundred sounds and ten multis, USB (power / MIDI) and a seven - segment display.

All specifications are preliminary.

The project, will be soon, in Kickstarter.

ARTURIA - POLYBRUTE

Arturia's new instrument, the Polybrute, is an analog and polyphonic synthesizer with the ability to morph between two states, of the same sound.

It has six voices with two oscillator, per voice. You can split the keyboard, into two zones, and set a different MIDI - channel, to each of them. So, the Polybrute has a two voice multi - timbrality.

Another outstanding features, is the Morphée - controller, which is three - dimensional (touch and pressure).

KORG - SQ 64

Four tracks, which are polyphonic and polyrhythmic, can be played in different directions and in random - or stochastic - mode.

Three, of them, are melodic - sequences. The fourth track, is dedicated to drum - sequences and has sixteen sub - tracks.

Of course, the melody tracks are only polyphonic, if connected to a MIDI - instrument (eight voices). CV / Gate, can only send one note at a time.

Korg was giving the SQ - 64 sixtyfour steps, sixteen pattern, MIDI - in and two MIDI - out, also USB (including power and MIDI), analog - sync, CV / Gate and modulation - connections, eight trigger - out (drums) and a sync - connection.

And, there is an arpeggiator.

One MIDI - out, can be configured to be a MIDI - thru.

All connections, except the USB - connection (micro, Typ B) are 3.5mm jacks.

The 64 pads can be used as a regular keyboard or in isomorphic - or octave -mode and they've graduated lighting.

A power - adapter, will be available, separately or you can use the USB - socket for power - connection.

The Circuit Tracks, by Novation, is available now.

It's an groovebox, with two polyphonic synthesizer - tracks, four drum - tracks and two polyphonic MIDI - tracks, to control external instruments.

The internal sounds are digitally generated, but you can load samples via micro SD - card.

The sequencer is allowing, to create pattern with 32 steps, which can be chained to sequences with up to 256 steps.

The Circuit Tracks has in - built effects (reverb / delay), is allowing micro - timing, propability and "pattern mutate".

Also, audio - input and an rechargeable built - in battery.

There are three "classic" MIDI - connections (DIN / 5 - pole). MIDI - in / - out / - thru, which very cool.

One of the most asked synthesizer, the Jupiter 8, built by Roland, is now on it's way into production.

Of course, we're talking about the version by Behringer.

Since Behringer was beginning, to reproduce, some classic and vintage synthesizer, almost every day they've been asked to built a clone of the Jupiter 8.

Now, they confirmed, that they working on it. Surely, there was no doubt about that, at any time, that this will be done.

Behringer has published, a picture of a rendering, which is showing an Jupiter 8 without a casing.

No words, about the state of development or specificationd.

So, let's be patient and wait for more information.

Obviously, it's the clone of a Prophet 5 by Sequential Circuits respectively Sequential.

But the name of the this instrument is suggesting, that it will have 16 voices.

Sequential - Take 5

There was a leak, at a belgium webshop, which was showing a new instrument by Sequential.

It has a full - sized keyboard, of three and a half octave and it's named Take 5.

Seems like it has a polyphony of five voices and it's oscillator are analog.

We can see two oscillator and one sub - oscillator, per voice.

Two envelopes, one LFO (plus one global LFO), mixer - section, filter with resonance and drive, oscillator - sync and FM, modulation - assignment, glide, unison, overdrive, step - sequencer, clock - generator, arpeggiator, MIDI, mod - and pitch - wheel and patch - storage.

And there is Sequential's vintage - button.

The casing - design, of the Take 5, is coming from the same line as the Pro 3.

Price will be, most probably, a few bugs above €1000.

Waldorf is continuing, the Microwave - series. In a contemporary sound - and form - factor. And the new wavetable - hybrid, is just called M.

It's a desktop - unit, without any keys and it seems it can be rack - mounted.

The M has a polyphony of eight voices and a multi - timbrality of for parts, which can be routed to separated outputs.
