DSI SEQUENTIAL - PROPHET X

"The Sequential Prophet X is a potent fusion of samples - plus - synthesis.."

That means, you have a synthesizer, with a "classical" oscillator - section and a sample - engine with 150 GB of internal samples (created by 8Dio) and 50 GB of additional, internal storage, to where you can store, external sample - libraries. The support, for user - created samples, will be included, later (December 2018).

The Prophet X, is a 8 - voice stereo (16 - voice mono) synthesizer, with "..two simultaneous 16-bit, 48kHz sample-based instruments plus two high-resolution digital oscillators — all processed through analog filters."

So, the synth - engine, of the Prophet X, is based on digital oscillators.

2 multi-sampled stereo instruments per voice with editable sample start, sample end, loop size, and loop center, loop on/off, sample reverse, sample stretch, bit-rate reduction, and sample rate reduction
150 GB of factory-installed 16-bit, 48 kHz sampled instruments created by 8Dio. An additional 50 GB of samples can be added by purchasing additional sound libraries. User-sample import is planned for December, 2018.

The Prophet 5 by Sequential is back.

The main - features, like two oscillator per voice with different wave - selections, hard - sync, LFO - mode for oscillator 2, filter - and amplifier - envelope, LFO, poly - mod and so on, are the same. But, of course, the new version called "revision 4", has MID and USB and a "Vintage Knob" that "..recreates the characteristics of various Prophet - 5 models by varying the behavior of oscillators, envelopes, amplifiers, and other parameters. Go from a very stable “4” — as in Prophet - 5 Rev4, (the new version) — all the way to “1,” as in Prophet - 5 Rev1, the rarest and most temperamental of all Prophet - 5s.."

New, is also, velocity and aftertouch, the three waveforms of the LFO can be engaged simultaneously. You can switch, between the different filter - circuits (SSM / Curtis).

Sequential - Take 5

There was a leak, at a belgium webshop, which was showing a new instrument by Sequential.

It has a full - sized keyboard, of three and a half octave and it's named Take 5.

Seems like it has a polyphony of five voices and it's oscillator are analog.

We can see two oscillator and one sub - oscillator, per voice.

Two envelopes, one LFO (plus one global LFO), mixer - section, filter with resonance and drive, oscillator - sync and FM, modulation - assignment, glide, unison, overdrive, step - sequencer, clock - generator, arpeggiator, MIDI, mod - and pitch - wheel and patch - storage.

And there is Sequential's vintage - button.

The casing - design, of the Take 5, is coming from the same line as the Pro 3.

Price will be, most probably, a few bugs above €1000.

Sequential - Take 5

Now, that the Take 5 is revealed, we know that it is an analog (oscillator, filter, amp. Envelopes are digital - controlled), with a polyphony of five.

The Take 5 has no multi - timbrality. The polyphonic step - sequencer is providing just 64 steps. And there are only 128 user - patch memory - places.

Some cool specs are the variable wave - shape (except sub - oscillator), oscillator - sync, FM, 5 - stage envelopes, self - resonating filter, configurable unison - mode (1 to 5 voices), modulation - matrix (16 slots), digital - effects and an overdrive - circuit.

Also nice, is the factory - mode (or non - factory mode). Using a switch, all parameter are using the front - panel settings.

The Take 5 has the so called vintage - knob, which is producing parameter - variation, so the different voices don't sound exactly the same.

And it is coming with a complete MIDI - trio (in / out / thru) of 5 - pole sockets.
