"The Sequential Prophet X is a potent fusion of samples - plus - synthesis.."

That means, you have a synthesizer, with a "classical" oscillator - section and a sample - engine with 150 GB of internal samples (created by 8Dio) and 50 GB of additional, internal storage, to where you can store, external sample - libraries. The support, for user - created samples, will be included, later (December 2018).

The Prophet X, is a 8 - voice stereo (16 - voice mono) synthesizer, with "..two simultaneous 16-bit, 48kHz sample-based instruments plus two high-resolution digital oscillators — all processed through analog filters."

So, the synth - engine, of the Prophet X, is based on digital oscillators.

Sample Playback
2 multi-sampled stereo instruments per voice with editable sample start, sample end, loop size, and loop center, loop on/off, sample reverse, sample stretch, bit-rate reduction, and sample rate reduction
150 GB of factory-installed 16-bit, 48 kHz sampled instruments created by 8Dio. An additional 50 GB of samples can be added by purchasing additional sound libraries. User-sample import is planned for December, 2018.

AFRICA'S FIRST HOME MADE MODULAR SYNTHESIZER

This guy, has probably build, the first modular synthesizer on the african continent.

He is saying, that there is only one shop, in africa, which is selling modular - stuff. So he was starting, to weld, his own stuff!

"A few months ago I dipped my feet into the world of modular synths. The entire African continent has only one shop selling Euro rack modules which is really sad. Also, Euro rack modules are overly priced for someone in my context. My only option was to go the DIY route. I looked up schematics and started modifying some circuits and building others from scratch. All parts in my modular were sourced locally. In a few months I have learnt so much about electronics and analog synths and I have built what is an almost decent modular synth. I believe this is Africa's first home made modular synth. I hope this video inspires someone out there to build their own synth. Feel free to ask any questions and please share and subscribe.

ROLAND - JUPITER X / JUPITER XM

Roland's
, new version(s), of the Jupiter are DSP - based. That means, their sound, is generated digital.

4 oscillator, 32 voices, 5 parts (4 synth & 1 drum), 3 filter with "type - switch", 2 envelopes, 2 LFO, effects (overdrive, chorus, delay, reverb, compressor, master - eq), sampling - option, layer - function, sequencer, arpeggiator, sync, cross - and ring - modulation.

4000 tone - presets, 256 user - tones, more than 90 drum - kits.

Like, the System - 8, the Jupiter - X can work with Plug - Outs (in this case, they're called Models).

The Jupiter - X / Xm, can reproduce some of Roland's classic sounds, like Jupiter - 8, Juno - 106, SH - 101, XV - 5080, JX - 8P, RD - Pianos, TR - 808, TR - 909, CR - 78, TR - 707 and more.

The Jupiter - X, is the full - size version, with 61 - note Keyboard.

The Jupiter - Xm, is the physically shrinked version, with a 37 - note slim keyboard, but with the same, technical, functions. And, it can be used, with batteries and it has, a built - in, speaker.

The Jupiter - Xm, will be available, in September 2019.

The Jupiter - X, will be released, in the United States, in April 2020.

Price: Jupiter - X €2.499 and €1.499 for the, smaller, Xm - version.
