The Skulpt by Modal Electronics is now revealed! It is a very small synthesizer, which is sounding bigger than it is looking..

It's a very small device, sadly, without a real keyboard.

And it, also, will be a Kickstarter - project.

MODAL ELECTRONICS - ARGON 8

Latest tool, from Modal Electronics.

The Argon - 8, is a mono - timbral, wavetable - synthesizer, with eight voices.

120 wavetables plus one, additional, PWM - bank and four noise / modulation - banks.

28 wavetable - processor (wave - folder, wave - shaper, phase - shaper, etc.) can be used, to create permutations.

A modulations - matrix, with eight slots (four, of them, are fixed), eleven sources and fiftytwo destinations, will make, your sounds, stand - out.

There are, also, three dedicated envelopes (amp, filter, mod) and two LFO (with tempo - sync).

Four oscillator, per voice, with eight types of modifier (phase mod, ring mod, hard sync..), a 37 - note keyboard, a large OLED, many keyboard - modes (mono, poly, unison, stack..), an arpeggiator, a sequencer, some effects (wave - distortion, delay, reverb, flanger, chorus) and a morphable filter, are completing the Argon - 8.

You can, store, twohundred user - patches (plus threehundred factory - programms), onehundred sequencer -, and onehundred fx - presets.

Connectors, are: MIDI - in / out, analog clock - sync, stereo - outs, headphones, sustain and expression, stereo - in (fx - routing) and USB.

MODAL ELECTRONICS - COBALT 8

Virtual - analog styled, with 64 oscillator (up to eight per voice), morphable filter (four - pole), three dedicated envelopes (amp, filter, modulation), modulation - matrix (twelve sources, fiftyfive destinations), realtime - and step - sequencer, animation - lanes (four of them), arpeggiator, three LFO (audio - rate) and three streo - effects (configurable).

That's the Cobalt 8. It has eight voices, like the name is saying and it's supporting polyphonic MIDI - expression (MPE).

It's class - compilant (USB), has regular (DIN) MIDI - connections (in, out), analog - clock sync (in, out), audio - in and pedal - connections and, like all instruments by Modal Electronics, the Cobalt 8 can be programmed with the Modal - app.
