The Zybraz, is a virtual - analog synthesizer with 24 - voice polyphony, two parts (upper / lower), eight filter - models (2 x LP, 2 x HP, 2 x BP, Fat, Destroy), eight effects, two envelopes (1 x ADSR, 1 x D) per part, 2 LFO (per part), MIDI, 63 - user and 64 - factory presets, a noise - and a random - generator.

It's a re - creation, of the semi - modular synthesizer 2600 by ARP. This machine, was built, in the early / mid - seventies of the last century.

It has three oscillator (can be used, as LFO) with four normalized FM - inputs (each) which are producing, up to four waves, simultaneously and a noise - generator (white / pink).

It's monophonic and the sound, is very well.

The Prophet 5 by Sequential is back.

The main - features, like two oscillator per voice with different wave - selections, hard - sync, LFO - mode for oscillator 2, filter - and amplifier - envelope, LFO, poly - mod and so on, are the same. But, of course, the new version called "revision 4", has MID and USB and a "Vintage Knob" that "..recreates the characteristics of various Prophet - 5 models by varying the behavior of oscillators, envelopes, amplifiers, and other parameters. MODOR - DR 2

It's a drum - machine, it's digital, it's "sample - free" and it's sounding very nice.

The DR - 2 by Modor, has six voices which are not dedicated to a specific "channel" or slot, so you can use the same instrument up to six times, if in need.

Every synthesis - algorithm, called "drum - model", which is defined as an instrument, has up to twelve parameter.

The sequencer, of the DR -2, can produce up to 128 steps. It has accent, flam (adjustable), tuplet (adjustable), break (immediately silencing a sound), swing and a reverse - function. The sequencer is generating MIDI - notes and "..all 'continuous' sound - parameter accept and transmit Midi Control Changes in realtime."

You can synchronize, this drum - machine, using an analog clock - signal (24 ppqn) or via MIDI - clock.

You can choose, one parameter, of every instrument that can be affected by velocity (beside the volume) and "..you can also choose a separate parameter for every instrument to be altered by a random amount at note start."

The LC - display (16 x 2, green) will give information in latin or cyrillic lettern.

BEHRINGER - POLYEIGHT

A few days ago, Behringer was revealing their proptotype, of a clone, of the Polysix by Korg.

But it's named Polyeight and Behringer confirmed, that they were adding two more voices. The Polysix had six voices, as the name is suggesting.

And we can see, that there are a few more features, compared to the original. There is a display, a noise - parameter, more waveforms for the LFO, portamento, a new key - assign mode, aftertouch - velocity.

There is the "classic" - MIDI trio (DIN / 5 pin), which is very cool, USB for modern needings and, of course, the obsolete tape - connector (for saving and loading patches) is missing.

Unfortunately, there is a cooling - fan and the keyboard has a range of four octaves (the original has five octaves).

Date of availabilty and price, are unknown, at this date.

The Hydrasynth is coming, in two different and new sizes.

The Hydrasynth Explorer is a version, with 37 keys, in mini - size format.

Beside this and the missing MIDI - thru socket, the technical specifications are the same, as the regular keyboard - and desktop - version.
