Sequential - Take 5

Now, that the Take 5 is revealed, we know that it is an analog (oscillator, filter, amp. Envelopes are digital - controlled), with a polyphony of five.

The Take 5 has no multi - timbrality. The polyphonic step - sequencer is providing just 64 steps. And there are only 128 user - patch memory - places.

Some cool specs are the variable wave - shape (except sub - oscillator), oscillator - sync, FM, 5 - stage envelopes, self - resonating filter, configurable unison - mode (1 to 5 voices), modulation - matrix (16 slots), digital - effects and an overdrive - circuit.

Also nice, is the factory - mode (or non - factory mode). Using a switch, all parameter are using the front - panel settings.

The Take 5 has the so called vintage - knob, which is producing parameter - variation, so the different voices don't sound exactly the same.

And it is coming with a complete MIDI - trio (in / out / thru) of 5 - pole sockets.

Ashun Sound Machines - Hydrasynth Explorer / Deluxe

The Hydrasynth is coming, in two different and new sizes.

The Hydrasynth Explorer is a version, with 37 keys, in mini - size format.

Beside this and the missing MIDI - thru socket, the technical specifications are the same, as the regular keyboard - and desktop - version.

Something, about the specifications, of the Hydrasynth.

The Hydrasynth Deluxe is a dual - engine version, with 73 full - sized keys.

Each of them, has eight voices.

Both engines can be used to create layer - sounds or a key - split, if using multi - mode.

The Deluxe - version has a single - mode, which is allowing to play one sound, with sixteen voices.

Very nice, is the possibility, to use it's bi - timbrality, through two different MIDI - channels and two dedicated stereo - output connections. That way, you can have two real Hydrasynth - units, that can be edited separately or together.

Waldorf - M

Waldorf is continuing, the Microwave - series. In a contemporary sound - and form - factor. And the new wavetable - hybrid, is just called M.

It's a desktop - unit, without any keys and it seems it can be rack - mounted.

The M has a polyphony of eight voices and a multi - timbrality of for parts, which can be routed to separated outputs.

Each voice is using, two wavetable with independant wavetable generating - modes. There is the Microwave 1 - and the Microwave 2 / XT - mode.

The 24 dB / oct - filter is a analog circuit, also the stereo - VCA, that can be panned.

It has two LFO, three flexible multi - segment envelopes, and an arpeggiator which can be synced to MIDI - clock.

96 factory - wavetable and 32 user - wavetable.

2048 sound - and 128 multi - programs, can be stored.

SD - card slot, for exchanging sound - banks and wavetables.

USB - and DIN - connections, for MIDI.

And a graphics - capable display.

There is no such thing, like a modulation - matrix.
