Garlic Yogurt Rasam.
Fry some garlic in oil,
add rasam powder,
stir and simmer to heat through.

Therefore, switch off the heat.
And add
whisked yogurt, pepper and coriander leaves.
Simmer. No need to boil.

Fish salad(salad ikan).
To make - buy a packet of the boiled kembung (see pic).
Pour boiling water on top and keep aside for a few minutes as the cleaning process.
Therefore rinse and carefully flake out flesh.

Put in a bowl,
add 1/2 capsicum,
2 sprigs coriander leaves,
2 sprigs spring onion,
2 red chillies and
4 sliced shallots (all sliced thinly).

Season with fish sauce (or soy sauce),
powdered palm sugar,
lime juice
and salt (all as needed).
Toss and serve.

Note: go easy with the salty ingredients, so taste bf adding.
Other suited veg can replace capsicum.

Curried pumpkin.
To make:
sauté 1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste and
5 smashed shallots
in 3 tbsp of oil.
Add 1 tsp fenugreek seeds
and 1 tsp cumin seeds.
Stir.
Add plain chilli powder
and quickly stir.

Add pumpkin,
1/2 tsp turmeric powder and enough water.
Stir and
simmer to soften pumpkin to a preferred texture.
Add 1 chopped tomato,
pour tamarind/asam juice (as needed) and
season with palm sugar and salt.

Stir all in and remove from heat. Combine in fenugreek leaves.

Note: all ingredients are estimates - more or less.
Substitute for fenugreek leaves - coriander leaves or curry leaves.
