The fair covers the entire spectrum of the value chain - from the producer to the consumer.
Future fruit supplies and ways to further step up trade between the Russia and South Africa were discussed at the meeting with the Heads of the Citrus Growers Association of Southern Africa (CGA) and the Fresh Produce Exporters' Forum (FPEF).

7 марта 2024 года, в Петропавловской крепости, в музее космонавтики, состоялось открытие выставки проекта «Вселенная BRICS», в которой принял участие Почетный Консул Южно-Африканкой Республики и прочие важные гости, такие как космонавты, дипломаты, представители стран БРИКС, деятели науки, культуры и искусства.
Выставка представляет фотографии городов ЮНЕСКО, находящихся в странах БРИКС, сделанные космонавтами с борта Международной космической станции и фотографами на земле. Всего в проекте было задействовано 41 зарубежный и 48 российских фотографов из стран БРИКС и собрано 600 фотографий из разных уголков планеты.

The BRICS Universe Exhibition
On March 7, 2024, the grand opening of BRICS Universe exhibition took place at the Cosmonautics Museum in the Peter and Paul Fortress. The event was was attended by the Honorary Consul of the Republic of South Africa and other important guests such as cosmonauts, diplomats, representatives of the BRICS countries, scientists, culture and art figures.
The exhibition shows photographs of UNESCO cities located in the BRICS countries. It included photos taken by international photographers and astronauts. In total, 41 foreign and 48 Russian photographers from the BRICS countries were involved in the project and 600 photographs from different parts of the world were collected.

Today, May 23, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of South Africa to St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region attended the plenary session "Global Partnerships - Key Drivers of Educational Excellence", which took place at the B. N. Yeltsin Presidential Library as part of the HSE University St. Petersburg International Partners’ Days (May 23-25, 2024). This event was created to strengthen international cooperation and encourage new developments and dimensions in areas of higher education and research.

Открытие молодежного форума ко Дню Африки в Горном университете Санкт-Петербурга 24 мая 2024 г.
Ежегодно 25 мая в мире отмечается День Африки. Проведение молодежного форума по случаю этого дня в Петербурге становится традицией. В этом году мероприятие посетят около 400 человек, включая почетных консулов африканских стран, студентов городских вузов из стран Африки, представителей МИД и исполнительных органов государственной власти города Санкт-Петербурга.
Программа Форума «День Африки Образование ради будущего» включает в себя обсуждение вопросов сотрудничества со странами африканского континента, обсуждение мер по укреплению двухстороннего взаимодействия, решение вопросов развития высшего образования и подготовки африканских студентов по различным направлениям.

The opening ceremony of the youth forum for "Africa Day" at the Mining University of St. Petersburg on May 24, 2024
Every year on May 25 the world celebrates Africa Day.
Holding a youth forum on the occasion of this day in St. Petersburg is becoming a tradition. This year, the event will be attended by about 400 people, including honorary consuls of African countries, students from African countries, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and executive authorities of Saint-Petersburg.
The program of the Forum “Africa Day. Education for the Future” includes a discussion of issues of cooperation with the countries of the African continent, a discussion of measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation, addressing issues of the development of higher education and training students from Africa in various fields.

On May 28, 2024, the second African International Congress was held at the Saint-Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This event was very important for Russian-African relations, especially in the year of the Russian Federation's chairmanship of BRICS + and in the run-up to the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
