For the first time in years Linux... lost a bit of market share on Steam. Seemingly, the growth of Steam Deck fanbase is no longer that significant and the transition from Windows to Linux for the average gamer isn't happening.

Is this only me or Steam Refunds became slower? They used to be 2-8 hours, but both times I've tried it recently it took over 24 hours.

And I'm not even a frequent refunder, since I have refunded only about 10-15 games out of a ~1000. PS. I refunded exactly 18 games, actually. And at least two of them to later re-purchase a Deluxe/Ultimate edition.

Due to USD conversion rates dropping and the fact that Steam has its own rates, developers from the rest of the world lost quite a lot over the last year. Even if they get $1000, its value is drastically lower than the year before. And they get much less in their local currencies (which also have their own inflation).

Years ago Valve locked Polish prices to their internal conversion rates. Which by default makes prices in Poland literally the most expensive in the world. Despite that the salaries in the country are far lower than in Western Europe.

If you are making an indie game, set the Zloty price manually, don't use the default one.

And after just a few days Crimson Desert reviews turned to 73% positive and the score keeps growing. A lot of people discuss that they have learned how to play and it is getting better over time.
