The table - top version, is identically to the regular version (without joystick, wheels, etc.). While, the voice - expansion, has got no, physical, edit - options at all, ecxept an volume - knob (maybe, a display) but a software - editor.

The Solaris, is a completely digital synthesizer, with a lot of options. It has, implemented, 64 wave - tables, of the Waldorf - Microwave.

MMA - MIDI 2.0

At, this year's, Winter - NAMM, MIDI 2.0 was adopted. So, there won't be no basic changes, anymore.

MIDI 2.0, is the result, of a decade of development.

Key - data:
° Bi - directional conversation.
MIDI - devices, can communicate, with each other and auto - configure themself. They can, also, exchange informations on functionality.
° Higher resolution.
Contrary to the 7 bits (14 bits), MIDI 1.0 is using, the new standard will be set to 32 bit (velocity 16 bit).
° Controller.
Controller will be easier to use and there will be, much more, of them. More than 32.000 (including, controls for individual notes).
° Major timing - improvement.
° Profile - configuration.
Profiles are created to, dynamically, configure a device for a particular use case. All (hardware -) controller, of your keyboard, can be mapped (automatically), to be a mixer or something else.
° Property - exchange.
Devices, can exchange, specific informations, like preset - names, parameter - settings.. So they can, display, each other.
° Built - in future.
There is, a possibility, to integrate brand - new MIDI - messages, for future applications.

And, there will be, up to 256 channels!

MOOG - 16 CHANNEL VOCODER

The 16 - Channel Vocoder, by Moog, was first released in the very late seventies.

It is, now, going back in production. The re - issue, has the same specifications, like the original unit.

There are, sixteen, frequency - ranges from 50 to 5080 Hz.

It has no internal oscillator, so you have to use it, the "classic" way, with carrier - and modulator - signals (called programs, here).

All frequencies, are patchable, to each other and to external sources. As you can see, from the sockets, on the front panel.

On board are, a sample and hold cuircuit - state, the possibility to choose "Hizz" or "Buzz" and to change the balance between them, also, the possibility to add frequencies above 5080 Hz.

There are, footswitch - connectors, for bypass, sample & hold and external - patch.

It is rack - mountable, if necessary.

BLACK CORPORATION - DECKARD'S DREAM MK2

The announced Mark 2 - version, of Deckard's Dream by Black Corporation, from Japan, is almost identically to the first edition.

There are, just, some new controls for lenght and sustain - mode. And the casing is more flat, so it can be used, as an table - top unit.

"DECKARD’S DREAM, or DDRM, features eight voices, each with two identical layered parts consisting of a 100% analog voltage controlled oscillator made with discrete waveshapers, analog lowpass and highpass filter (each with their own cutoff and resonance settings), noise generator, unique multisegment filter envelope, and VCA + ADSR envelope. Each layer also features its own independent programming section for MPE - based velocity and polyphonic aftertouch control of its filter cutoff and amplifier settings.

 

DDRM’s perfomance section features global pitch control with coarse & fine-tuning sliders, layer 2 detune slider, independent keyboard range control for each layer, mix balancing between layer 1 and layer 2, global filter cutoff and resonance offsets, and a global LFO to control both layers’ filter / pitch / amplifiers simultaneously.

DDRM was created with full expressive performance control in mind, and boasts programming sections for global MPE - based control over LFO parameters + pitchbend, as well as global key tracking control over the filter and amplifier settings of both layers. Finally, there is a global portamento / glissando slider affecting both layers simultaneously. The level of expressive control these parameters give over a performance is something found in very few synthesizers, and the result are stunning!

DDRM features full MIDI control and the ability to store 128 presets per bank across 3 banks, integrating this classic synth concept seamlessly into the future of your modern studio needs."
