Vietnamese star fruit salad.
No cook simple raw salad for crunch and munch.

To make: slice/dice 2 star fruit, add 1 sliced green chilli,
2 or 3 sliced birds eye chillies
and 2 sprigs sliced coriander leaves.

Season with palm sugar,
fish sauce,
calamansi lime juice
and salt.
Toss all together and
sprinkle roasted sesame seeds on top.

Note: I forgot to add sliced shallots.
Do add.
Will be a nice addition.
Taste to balance up the flavors.

I’m mostly a minimalist to breakfast, but every now and then, when I’m out, I won’t mind something more substantial.

However, when it is #lunch, on such days, I cut down my portion of #rice, and include more #vegetables and #protein.,

Assam Prawn/Tamarind Prawn
To make:
clean a handful of medium size prawn: remove head and devein. Add tamarind juice,
gently mix and put in the fridge.

Then drain off juice and add curry leaves and dried chillies. Fry in 2 tbsp of oil.
Sprinkle some water if needed.

Close with a lid and cook prawns. Remove lid, pour sweet soy sauce and season with salt. Stir and dish out.

Note: amount for ingredients depends on taste.
Watch prawns when cooking as not to under cook or over cook.
