We have a long history of relationships and over the years have helped the client to develop web-portals and mobile apps, delivery control systems, staff management tools, data storage and much more. The systems we’ve built together work in production 24/7, contributing to client’s success.
DataArt provides consultation and development of the software for the client in both areas of their activities: online sales and creation of the cross functional retail platform.
For this project, we need a versatile developer who is ready to move to the Polish city of Wroclaw and work from our local office. We will help you with the necessary paperwork, moving to the city, and settling into the new workplace.

Responsibilities
— Development of new features
— Requirements analysis
— Applying best IT practices in daily routine
— Performance tuning
— Take care of the existing platform
— Conduct periodic on-call duties

Must have
— Production experience in Java
— Experience in the full Software Development life-cycle from design to deployment
— Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL)
— Experience with development through testing (TDD)
— Solid knowledge of Spring MVC, Spring Boot
— Experience in using Continuous Integration tools
— Excellent knowledge of English

Would be a plus
— Experience with JUnit, Spock
— Experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform
— Technological or similar technical degree
— Knowledge of Agile methodologies

Our client is one of the biggest online retailers worldwide. DataArt specialists help develop and support its services. We have helped the company to create web-portals and mobile apps, delivery control systems, staff management tools, data storage and much more.

Modern IT-systems have allowed the company to increase the amount of its customers to over half a million. Retail provides a yearly profit of around £1 billion. But our client is determined to earn even more by reselling the technological tools that have led them to their success.
Based on the new IT-infrastructure and the experience of its modifications, the company is working on developing a cross functional system that will be able to fit the interests of other companies that are interested in acquiring such systems.

DataArt provides consultation and development of the software for the client in both areas of their activities: online sales and creation of the cross functional retail platform.

As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be part of a team that researches, designs and maintains an automated cloud computing service model (DBaaS) on clients Infrastructure platform. The candidate will be working with relational, NoSQL and Cassandra database technologies on both private and public cloud infrastructures, with a core focus on containerization and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities
— Developing and supporting services that provide the deployment and management of relational, NoSQL and Cassandra database technologies
— Providing tools for monitoring, managing, alerting, and improving customer database performance
— Developing and implementing automated processes that ensure the uninterrupted updating and correction of database vulnerabilities
— Publishing documentation that enables a smooth transition of database services from the build and development phase to production support
— Providing consultations, training, and mentoring for the development team
— Active participation in upgrading systems
— Root cause analysis and troubleshooting
— Support for production systems, prepared for regular on-call duty

Must have
— Solid knowledge and skills in Go programming
— Experience with Cassandra DB
— Familiarity with containers and container orchestration systems such as Docker / K8s
— A desire to work with open source technologies
— Comfortable to adapt to change and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
— Excellent communication skills (spoken and written)

Would be a plus
— Experience in using monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty SNMP)
— Basic knowledge of networking
— Experience in/understanding of supporting a 24×7 operation
— Experience of development using Scrum or other Agile methodologies

We are looking for a mature software engineer with wide experience in Scala that will join the team that develops and maintains a warehouse system. The main goal is to prepare, pack and send ordered goods to end customers minimizing human input. The system consists of several microservices. They communicate mainly over ActiveMQ brokers.

Apart from maintaining an existing system, new features are being developed. Among them there is a gateway that maps and enriches requests from other systems into GM WMS, lets them be processed, and responds to the sender.

Must have:
— Good experience working with Scala 2.12, Java 8
— Knowledge of Scala Cats, Slick, and Play frameworks
— Experience working with databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle
— Knowledge of BigQuery, Spring, Hibernate, and React
— Knowledge of Slick, Squeryl Docker, ELK, and Linux.
