The new Legacy of Kain: Ascendance got 30% positive on Steam and 58 on OpenCritic. The game was criticized for being poorly-executed retro with zero quality of life features in mind nor variety that modern metroidvanias offer.

You can literally walk, do a simple attack, and jump, that's the whole game. And levels are boring, enemies are boring, you have seen it all in the first five minutes.
