An artist noticed that someone uploaded 35000+ AI generated 3D models as separate FAB assets. They have millions of polygons each and distorted textures, so they are kinda unusable.

The WHAT?

Unity and Epic Games announced a partnership plan to make Fortnite creative mode stronger. It will support games made with Unity and aimed at lower-powered systems.

For Epic, it will help to gain wider audience and compete against Roblox. All the people who are not able to run heavy games will now be able to try more simple and common experiences from the same launcher.

For Unity, it will provide an additional market and going to help them to earn far beyond the subscription plan.

And Unity will bring their In-App Purchases SDK to Unreal Engine developers too. Which will make it easier to use cross-platform stores and accounts.

Meanwhile, Tim Sweeney decided to eat shit from the biggest audience he can gather by saying that AI usage should not be known by a customer.

This is why Epic Store will never overthrow Steam, not even a little.

Someone found a glitch or hack in Fortnite creative. Players report that the brainrot game is stealing all their V-Bucks without them even opening it ever. And Epic Games refused to explain or refund anything so far.

Epic Games just got rid of 1000 workers due to significant loss of profits from Fortnite. The company was spending too much for the last few quarters and now they will have to adjust.

In total the company is trying to cut $500m with all the measures. I assume that free games on Epic Store will also be affected.

Epic Pays: players and industry veterans are equally mad about the financial statement.

- Epic payed too much for UEFN
- They lowered BR support efforts
- And fired people randomly (according to my info, some crucial and very talented workers lost their jobs)

It will inevitably sabotage further Battle Royale development, it will not save UEFN, and eventually, both will further underperform.
