Remember how Adobe was silently adding all your content from Creative Cloud to train their Firefly AI? Well, they are apparently launching the notoriously bad final vision of it:
You need a separate subscription on top of your existing Creative Cloud one, it's very limited in length and features, and yes, it uses everything they stole from their users before.
Funny enough, their most expensive CC subscription is still promoted with "all the AI features included" while Firefly isn't available for those dumbasses who paid all that.

Mixamo, the free animation platform went down today and the funniest part: Adobe support team was unable to help, since they were unaware they own Mixamo.

Affinity? More like Affi-no-ty! But by October 30 they are promising some sort of creative freedom?

Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer are... GONE?!?!?!
Some very disturbing news for users of Affinity products such as Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo. They are no longer available for sale on any online store, including Serif's own. In the place of the Affinity homepage is a message "Creative Freedomβ¦

Affinity, that went down from stores a few weeks ago, resurfaced as a freemium app.
The company, purchased by Canva AI last year, was the biggest competitor of Adobe in 2D graphics editing. And the main advantage was one-time payment.
But now the payment is gone and Affinity is βfree, foreverβ. And also now vector and pixel tools are merged into one universal app, which is very impressive.

Adobe figured out that turning every client to the path of piracy is indeed fucking stupid, so they will no longer discontinue Adobe Animate (and steal all your projects, as they initially promised).
Instead the app will go into active maintenance mode: no new features, full access for users, some security updates and serious bugs will be fixed from time to time.

Adobe stocks are in decline by 23% since the beginning of the year, over 18% in one month.
Their AI tools are not bringing more paid users to the ecosystem, then a lot of people left when they tried to discontinue Adobe Animate a week ago (and then placed it into low maintenance mode instead).
And if investors' panic over game companies and Ginie3 is foolish, the Adobe one may be reasonable: except for poorly executed AI plugins in Photoshop, the overall stack of tools stagnating for years.
DaVinci Resolve allows better video editing for free and even more impressive in paid tier. All in one app.
Blender advanced significantly in 2D animation and 3D compositing, Affinity now has free tier too, GIMP 3 is finally usable, and we can continue: https://github.com/KenneyNL/Adobe-Alternatives
