Nasi Minyak
Nasi Minyak for me is a royal rice dish. We don't make it regularly, most of time its made during occasions. Nevertheless, go ahead. I mean, make it anytime you like, and Nasi Minyak can be paired with various types of sides at your pleasure. Lemme me pin some, its you choice which you opt for.

Nasi Minyak (literally means oil rice).
Heat 3 tbsp ghee/minyak sapi, fry 1 handful of cashew nuts, remove and keep aside. Do the same to 1 handful of raisins/kismis.

Fry 1/2 tbsp ginger paste,
1 tsp garlic paste, and
spices (2 cinnamon, 2 star anise, 4 cloves and 4 cardamom),
add 1 smashed lemongrass,
1 sliced red chilli and
1 sliced green chilli.

Stir, add 2 cups washed basmati rice, stir and tip into rice cooker. Add 1 tsp turmeric powder, pandan leaves (knotted),
2 cups carton milk,
1 cup water and
season with salt.
Stir and cook.

Once done, stir in 1/2 tsp saffron strands mixed with a bit of hot water (optional).
Garnish with fried cashews and raisins bf serving.
