#sunday #foodspotting
Landing ourselves for #lunch in
T Place #kopitiam
(32G, Jalan Eco Santuari B/2B, Eco Santuari, Telok Panglima Garang)

Not a #coffeeshop, but a corner lot (open #kitchen) resembling how a pleasant #ambiance, #kopitiam should be.

On the #menu, you get ample choices of dishes, plus a number of #drinks as well.
Personally attended by the lady boss, who also made known which are items not available, we ordered -
- Claypot Yee Mee (RM11.00)
- #friedrice, #egg atop (RM12.00)
- Teh C Kosong (RM2.30)
- Honey Lime Asam Boi (RM5.50)

Portion wise, regarded as #generous for small eaters like us. On the other hand,
taste-wise??
Acceptable, though didn’t win our palates over. So, so.
Doubt we will return again to this #eatery again.
Our #sundaylunch today took place in -
The Grand Mappilai Restaurant
(42, Jalan Pelabur A 23/A
Seksyen 23, Shah Alam)

Meaningful #indianconcept, clean and organised #ambiance,
plenty of choices on the #menu
and attentive #customerservice.

We ordered -
- Mappilai #lambshank #biryani (RM45.00)
- #cailiflower #poriyal (RM7.99)
- #pannersambal (RM9.99)
Delicious.

Cooked there and then, which means you got to wait for a while, but worth the wait.
The use of #freshingredients.
Succulent, juicy and falling apart from the big bone tender lamb meat. Served appetisingly.
Crunchy cauliflower poriyal and just nice in spiciness panner Sambal.

It’s a winner.
Another #foodouting #foodtrip to this #restaurant may be possible for trying out other dishes on their menu.

Was to a CAFE ~~

Known as
NOTA
No1-1, First floor, Jalan Anggerik Vanilla
BF 31/BF Kota Kemuning
Shah Alam

The moment I walked in, honesty, I was mesmerised over the #ambiance.
Simply #stylish and just top-notch.
Plants, wooden interior and spacious.

Top-notch as well the #service and quite a wide choice of items on their #menu.
It took us a while to decide, eventually, we settled for ~~

Salmon Belly Mental (RM35.00)
#salmon slices & #grilledprawns in between croissant, paired alongside salad.
What a #delight. Fresh, fresh and exciting for enlivening the #palates

Seafood Linguine (RM30.00)
Al-dente #linguine, soft bite of #mussels, #freshbasil for scent, in and around an appreciated #sauce.

Cappuccino (RM11.00)
Not a regret.

Mocha (RM13.00)
Another #worthy #hotbeverage

Salted Caramel Chocolate (RM16.00)
Not overly sweet, but slightly dry.
Still, a #sweet joy.

Nothing was a letdown, except paying RM115.50?

Was in Fong Fong Kopitiam #nonhalal
(68, Jalan Sungai Burung AA32/AA
Bukit Rimau, Shah Alam)
Not too far from where we are #kotakemuning #kemuninhgreenville

It’s a pride of a true and true #kopitiam
in terms of #ambiance.
Clean, spacious, and wall #decos to coincide with how a Kopitiam should be. I actually felt like I am #dining in a similar #PenangKopitiam.

On their #menu?
Those items you will yearn for - our #Malaysian #delights.

We called for -
Half boiled egg (2) - 3.90
Polo Butter Bun - 4.50
Signature #currymee - 15.90
Beancurd & Barley - 4.90
Chee Cheong Fun with
curry pork skin (takeaway) - 7.90
Bamboo salted egg lava bun - 6.90
(takeaway)
& Hot teh kosong - 3.30

Food verdict -
Yummy food #delight.
Nothing could be faulted, including
#service.

Curry Mee portion, worth the big portion but for a small eater like me, such a waste.

Overall, #fongfongkopitiam is a
#food winning formula.

And so, we left our comfort zone of #kotakemuning for a change and headed to -
de Leaf Restaurant
(No 36, 7, Jalan Kasuarina 11
#bandarbotanik #klang)

The idea to heading to this #indianrestaurant was by my hub.
Oh-well, he is a big fan of #indianfood.
Whereas myself, anything goes.

Ambiance -
Another #nofrill basic #indian style #diningarea.
Choices - nothing unusual
The standard Indian #menu.
Service - acceptable.

#food-verdict
#bananaleafmeal.
Those expected #indianstyle #veggies.
Extra items -
#muttondalca
For me, it was so-so.
My hub on the other hand, enjoyed every bit of it.
#eggsaltedfishcurry
Was expecting kurau bones, but ended up, the flat usual #saltedfish
(Total bill - RM37.00)
Inclusive of the #crabsoup packed back home.
Crab soup?
Just average.
What about the complimentary #kesari.
- wish they added more #ghee.

Any chance of returning again to this #restaurant?
I don’t think so.
