Indian Style Crab Soup
http://www.nava-k.com/2016/07/indian-style-crab-soup.html
Cooked alongside various types of spices, and that bit of heat from chilli flakes and pepper, this Indian Crab Soup truly I believe won't even let you down. Don't get confused please. Not the same as the previous Nandu Rasam nor Crab Legs Pepper Soup. After all, there's millions of ways to an Indian Style Crab Soup. I just coined another version of mine.

And so, we left our comfort zone of #kotakemuning for a change and headed to -
de Leaf Restaurant
(No 36, 7, Jalan Kasuarina 11
#bandarbotanik #klang)

The idea to heading to this #indianrestaurant was by my hub.
Oh-well, he is a big fan of #indianfood.
Whereas myself, anything goes.

Ambiance -
Another #nofrill basic #indian style #diningarea.
Choices - nothing unusual
The standard Indian #menu.
Service - acceptable.

#food-verdict
#bananaleafmeal.
Those expected #indianstyle #veggies.
Extra items -
#muttondalca
For me, it was so-so.
My hub on the other hand, enjoyed every bit of it.
#eggsaltedfishcurry
Was expecting kurau bones, but ended up, the flat usual #saltedfish
(Total bill - RM37.00)
Inclusive of the #crabsoup packed back home.
Crab soup?
Just average.
What about the complimentary #kesari.
- wish they added more #ghee.

Any chance of returning again to this #restaurant?
I don’t think so.

Crab ClawSoup -
for the claws we kept aside after making the Crab Curry. Come, let's make this soup.

Into a pot,
add 6 to 7 lightly smashed claws, 7 smashed shallots,
10 smashed garlic,
1/2 tbsp ginger paste or chopped ginger,
1 sliced tomato,
2 bay leaves,
1 tsp turmeric powder,
1 tbsp coriander powder,
1 tsp cumin powder
and 1 tsp fennel powder.

Place pot over heat/stove and pour 2 tbsp of oil inside the ingredients.
Simmer over low heat, stir and pour about 5 to 6 cups of water (more water if you like).
Season with salt.
Simmer soup to heat through or till a boiling point.

Off the heat.
Combine in a little lime juice, some pepper,
2 sprigs sliced spring onion and
2 sprigs coriander leaves.
Stir.
Voila! Soup is ready.
