Accountant
Dubai based shipping company is looking for an Accountant.
❗️Key Qualifications and Requirements:
• Proven ~ 5 years experience in financial reporting and compliance (in UAE preferred). Experience in shipping company would be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
• Familiarity with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in advanced Excel, financial modelling, and analytics
• Educational background in finance and economics or equivalent
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is preferred
• Fluent in English and Russian (preferred)
Personal Characteristics:
• Detail-oriented and meticulous in financial transactions
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
📌Responsibilities:
• Manage the complete range of financial accounting and reporting
• Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements
• Maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation
• Coordinate and support external audits to ensure compliance with audit requirements
• Ensure compliance with banking requirements and procedures
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
