Our Client mainly centers on game development, including table, slot and Live Dealer games. They started operating in 2015 after spotting a large gap in the market for premium quality mobile table games that passionately and meticulously embrace a mobile-first approach to design.
With this vision in the forefront of their minds at every point of the game creation process, the company has successfully developed a suite of retina-ready mobile table games that are hugely popular in both of our main markets – Europe and Asia.
Now looking for a mid-level Back-end Game Engine Developer to join the team of 50 dedicated professionals. The philosophy for back-end development is: stable, scalable and supportable which is achieved through simplicity, convention and cunning. You'll enjoy working in a fast-paced and rewarding environment with no corporate management hierarchy.
Your daily tasks will be
- Develop casino game engines in Java
- Implement communication between the game engine and game client in collaboration with front-end developers
- Support platform integrations and enhancements
- Perform works required for certification of games by external agencies
- Simulate millions of rounds to confirm and verify the expected RTP / house edge.
- Review game build documentation
- Platform support and enhancements
- Implement capability to database game events and data for reporting and analysis
- Maintain information in JIRA and Confluence to the expected level
- Fixing bugs identified and reported by QA
- Provide investigation and support of game issues to external operators, including "on-call" support out of business hours on a rotating roster
- Maintain good communication with other team members
What we expect from you:
- Proven experience with Java 11, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Redis and RabbitMQ
- Solid understanding of TDD, clean code principles and clean architecture
- Knowledge and experience with code versioning tools (Git) and branching models
- Experience with WebSocket communication and RESTful API design and usage
- Solid understanding of enterprise system architecture, scalability and user experience
- Fluent level of verbal and written English
