BREAKING - HASSAN CALLS TIME ON LIONS CAREER

After 115 appearances spanning over 20 years, Hassan Sunny has decided to retire from the Singapore National Team, as announced moments ago by the Football Association of Singapore.

In his final appearance for the Lions in June against Thailand, despite the 3-1 defeat, the 40-year-old delivered a noteworthy performance, cementing his status as a cult figure in China.

The Albirex Niigata (Singapore) custodian won the AFF Championship twice, in 2004 and 2007, the same year he also secured a bronze medal at the Southeast Asian Games.
