ICYMI - BISHAN - HOME OF "PINBALL DUO"

Bishan Stadium will the home ground for both Balestier Khalsa and Hougang United for the remainder of the 2025/2026 Singapore Premier League (SPL) season from January 2026, as confirmed by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS).

The term "Pinball Derby" between the two first came about after a match in 2013, when the then Cheetahs coach Johana Johari described the Tigers' game plan as "playing pinball" in their Singapore Cup Quarter-Final match.

That fixture eventually saw the Toa Payoh-based side knock Hougang out of the tournament.

RIP COACH TOKIJAN

Former Singapore national player D Tokijan passed away earlier this morning (23/12) at the age of 62.

After his retirement, Coach Tokijan went into coaching at several clubs in local football.

He was part of the coaching panel of Balestier Khalsa that won the Singapore Cup in 2014.
