1️⃣4️⃣8️⃣TH & STILL ONGOING ...

Having started in the recent game against Mongolia on 31/05/2026, "El Capitano" Hariss Harun etched his name in the local football folklore as the most capped Singapore football player in history.

TOO GOOD NOT TO BE SHARED

Found this satirical post on the upcoming World Cup which is due to kick soon.

Probably the most controversial edition in the tournament history.

YOU COULD BE ON YOUR WAY TO WORLD CUP AFTER A RIDE IN IT

From 10 June to 19 July, see if you are fated to board the specific SMRT train plastered with vibrant football visuals running on the East-West and North-South lines, including those of our very own Singapore national football team.

While on the ride, you could stand a chance to win tickets to watch the FIFA World Cup 2026β„’ simply by scanning a QR code and taking part in a football trivia quiz.

Named "The Football Museum on Rail," this ongoing campaign is part of a major marketing blitz by Rexonaβ€”the world's number one antiperspirant deodorant brand and an official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026β„’.

TANGIBLE PLANS WITHOUT ANY GRANDSTANDING ANTICS

Frankly speaking, the news of the recent change of management at the once-mighty Tanjong Pagar United (the links to the relevant news at the foot of this post) doesn't excite me at all.

Having observed how things were run over the last few years from a bystander's perspective, I would rather reserve judgement until the time is right.

Nonetheless, it is crucial that the new management keeps all stakeholders informed of their plans, without making any grandstanding statements.

After all, with the new season merely weeks away, we should have received some tangible updates from the club by now regarding whatever plans they have in mind.

Spare a thought for those long-suffering Jags supporters who had enough after all these years.

#bftp9am - BUY YOUR OWN 🎟️

This was the ticket booth at the demolished Toa Payoh Stadium where you were able to purchase the home match tickets of Balestier Khalsa Football Club.

Following the demolition of the said stadium in 2024, a new 10,000-seater stadium will be erected and slated to complete by 2030 as part of the Toa Payoh Integrated Development (TPID).

I HAD MY RIDE ...

Last night, I managed to grab a ride on board the SMRT train that is plastered with vibrant football visuals of that of the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026β„’ and our very own Singapore national football team by Rexona - the world's number one antiperspirant deodorant brand and an official sponsor of the said tournament.

#bftp9am - DOMINANT FORCE? THAT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

In 2018, Albirex Niigata (Singapore) blew the league apart. But the real battle wasn't against their rivalsβ€”it was against complacency.

How Coach Kazuaki Yoshinaga engineered total dominance:

▢️ THE YOUTH SHIFT: Defied new regulatory constraints with a squad made up of many raw, inexperienced under-21 players.

▢️ THE MIND GAMES: Critiqued his own players at post-match pressers even after convincing victories

▢️ ARTIFICIAL PRESSURE: Manufactured a high-stress environment to keep a young team hungry.

ℹ️ The White Swans clinched the Singapore Premier League title that season on an undefeated record: P24 W21 D3 L0

APPARENTLY ...

The figures don't lie and seems like most favored "tradition" over having a "clean break" in this unofficial unaffiliated survey carried out on IG story days ago
