Damage control from DF is weak and breaking their team apart. Alex, who was not present on the showcase, hates this tech absolutely and the disgust on his face is legendary:

DF Direct Q+A: The Big DLSS 5 ML Debate + Why We Should Have Waited With Our Coverage
It's been a wild few days. When we posted about DLSS 5, we were impressed with the technology and what it was doing - but we posted too soon. When generative AI is so divisive and with the future of games development possibly at stake, we should have taken…

Just to add a little bit of context:
NVIDIA told Digital Foundry that studios were deeply involved and it's their vision and work is in progress. DF members thought if they will criticise it right away, they will go against Capcom, Unisoft, and WB. And they liked certain things, like metals and glass in Oblivion Remastered.
Then several industry insiders asked people from all these studios and the response was the same: we have seen it the same day as all of you. In most cases 1-2 staff members were assigned and pushed by CEOs and NVIDIA to stay quiet. It was not discussed, negotiated freely inside the teams. And most of them see AI filters negatively.
It was portrayed as pure RnD for involved developers (not as something coming out this autumn), then as the future of gaming (supported by major studios) for investors and Digital Foundry.

Meet the first gameplay video of Exodus. From Archetype Entertainment, a studio founded by former BioWare developers James Ohlen, Chad Robertson, and Drew Karpyshyn, and published by Wizards of the Coast.

So far gamers are not confident yet and compare Exodus to The Division by Unisoft. When in reality cover shooting was a huge part of Mass Effect long before TD came out, but yeah, it looks a bit 2011.
For me the issue is rather different: the video is all over the place, shows small features that aren't necessary good or polished, etc. It's very basic set of game mechanics that have to be there but don't define the game.
- You can kinda walk
- Do laggy cover shooting
- Rope swing (Uncharted?)
- Doors from Mass Effect?
It's bland AF, like a template from UE5 (which it most likely is).

Is Marathon a Success? Laura’s Take
Marathon launched strong, but cooled quickly. Is it a success?
Bungie earned my respect by shipping Marathon under intense pressure, but the math around the project is tough when it comes to scope and planning.
In this video, I break down the numbers, costs…

Crimson Desert is seemingly the game that you and your friends dreamed to make in high school: it has tons of little funky features and none of them is polished, but dude...
The reviews on Metacritic are not feeling good (78/100) but no one calls it specifically bad, it's just a crappy funny game we always wanted and should never treat seriously. And it's definitely not for cultural connotations and deep story.

Valve put CS2 on fire yet again: you lose ammo during the reload. Let me explain — even in casual milsims you don't, you just have half-empty mags in rotation.
It's generally compensated with more ammo but the community is concerned that the whole meta of the game will change. Some weapons will be completely obsolete and the gameplay can become too "safe", people will not rush-in instantly.
And rating matches are barely working. People are not used to the new system and lose ratings miserably. So only a few exceptionally good players farm there.

The creators of Crimson Desert lost about 30% of their market cap due to "negative reception from critics". Investors wanted to see The Witcher 3 and got Dragon's Dogma II.
