Meanwhile, Civilization VII Premium Access has become one of the worst rated games on Steam.

People are mad that the visuals are very questionable, the UI got worse compared to previous games, and so is the performance.

Overall, the game has the potential but feels at least 1 year too early to release. And keep in mind, that it's gonna be fully released on February 11, while Deluxe and Founders editions are able to play 1 week early (for $100 and $130, respectively).

Simon noticed that in Anno 1800 there is a fixed sun position enabled by default, making the sun always light up the scene from right to left, leaving fairly long shadows and making buildings more distinguishable.

On the right you can see what happens with more realistic stable sun positioning. It is harder to look and track each separate part of the city.

Which means: don't be afraid to break rules, don't rely on realism fully. Sometimes it may sound odd, it may be unreal, but still does the job better.

EA just released a source code for a bunch of old Command and Conquer games, and added Steam Workshop support to bangers like C&C 3: Tiberium Wars.

It's not the only time we've seen Good Guy EA recently: they also gifted some of their accessibility technologies to the public a few months ago!
