Stacey Godfrey Evans (above L) was my law partner for almost 3 years until I disbanded the law firm of Wood, Hernacki, & Evans, LLC (formed in 2011).
Stacey thereafter was allowed to share office space with me after Stacey started Stacey’s own law firm as I wanted to help Stacey’s new law firm get off to a good start.
Stacey helped me in the DaVita case because Stacey was GREAT at organizing documents and reviewing them. I developed the case strategy, took all the depositions, and handled all the court hearings. The clients hired me because of my reputation and experience.
After I settled the DaVita case in 2015, I paid Stacey $9M for her efforts. I was always generous with the lawyers who worked with me even when they were no longer my law partners.
I urged Stacey not to run for governor in 2018 against Stacy Abrams. Stacey rejected my advice and lost the race, receiving only 20% of the vote.
Stacey did take credit during the campaign for the result in the DaVita case. What???
But that was okay even though it was an exaggeration of Stacey’s efforts in obtaining the results in the DaVita case.
I never minded a former colleague taking credit for my cases as I always wanted them to do well even though we no longer worked together.
Over the years, MANY lawyers who worked briefly with me would tout “their” representation of Richard Jewell.
Stacey’s spouse Andrew (above R) was co-counsel for Nathan Wade in the Georgia criminal case against President Trump.

I just finished a 3-hour meeting with The Inn At Cotton Hall guests Patrick and Michelle from Michigan.
It was our third meeting in 3 days!!!
Patrick and Michelle grew up in Romania under communism. They both always dreamed of living in America and being US citizens. Their dream came true. They love America!!!
They love President Trump too and recognize that now America is struggling against communism.
