Jack’s Labs is looking for an experienced, independent and driven Senior Software Engineer for the Data Team in Jakarta. The Data Team manages all things Hadoop, Spark and HBase, a distributed, scalable, big data store database, and one of the most widely used components in Hadoop.

Job Description:
• Have strong technical knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem;
• Collaborate with project stakeholders in all locations and with other component
developers;
operate flawlessly in the platform;
• Troubleshooting complex customer and production issues, providing on demand help
and fixes when necessary;

Qualifications:
• Bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or related technical field;
• 3+ years of software development experience;
• Essential experience with Hadoop, HBase, Spark, Python, Scala, Cloudera and /or
Hortonworks toolset, Kafka;
• Advance in Scala code with update Spark version, real development experience;
• Experience with databases like SQL Server / PostGres / PostGIS;
• Experience in scalability and performance optimisation of large, preferably distributed
systems;
• Good English skills
