RT @CAT_UXO: This is the Russian ShOAB-101 (ШОАБ-101), a small aerially-dispensed, spherical, Impact (IMP) fuzed, High-Explosive-Fragmentation (HE-Frag) and Incendiary (INC), Anti-Personnel (AP), submunition. This is a new submunition observed in Ukraine without any official designation at this time. In the absence of an official designation CAT-UXO is naming this submunition the ShOAB-101 in alignment with the ShOAB-0.5 submunition and it observed being delivered by the Russian Kh-101 Air-Launched-Cruise-Missile (ALCM), with Sharikovaya Oskolochnaya Aviatsionnaya Bomba meaning Spherical-Fragmentation-Aircraft-Bomb. Any additional images, technical information and an official designation are very much appreciated. Why is there no WW3? I thought it was supposed to happen if Ukraine 🇺🇦 used ATACMS to strike Russia

That was my exact estimate for ATACMS Ukraine had left

I estimated 140-150 of 200 ATACMS were used, and at least 100 struck targets. I was able to confirm at least 91 successful hits

US has +2,200 ATACMS. US sent 9% of its ATACMS, 1.5% of all its non-nuclear long range missiles https://twitter.com/cym27s/status/1858973025741533436#m

Can he ever pick a normal, qualified, not crazy, and not super politicial candidate for a job?

🇺🇲🇺🇦 Politico: "ATACMS may be the last major offensive weapons system left that the US has to take off its shelf and hand to Ukraine."

They've thought of nothing but they're all out of ideas!

I can come up with a very long list, starting with AGM-158A JASSM.

@GarrisonMoratto: No credible person ever claimed that ATACMS alone could win the war. Had they been provided in large numbers in mid 2022 though, it would have had an extremely significant impact.

@cym27s: My prediction exactly. I also confirmed at least 91 ATACMS successfully striking their targets, 150 being launched, and around 200 ATACMS or slightly more being delivered to Ukraine.

Most of the unsuccessful attacks were in Crimea where there are more air defenses particularly in the cities of Simferopol, Sevastopol, and Kerch. Those 3 cities are where the strikes are the hardest and would be more effective with cruise missiles.

Striking Russia allows to strike 3-4x the area Ukraine can currently strike inside occupied territories including Crimea. Occupied-Ukraine, especially Crimea is packed with Russian air defenses. A significant larger density of air defenses than there are inside of Russia.

Since it is not the case with the area ATACMS can reach in Russia, the chances of an ATACMS missile being shot down over Russia is much smaller and close to none for certain targets in the middle of nowhere. Today, the Pentagon...
