RT @MFA_Ukraine: Throughout May 5, Russia carried out numerous attacks across Ukraine. As a result of strikes targeting nine regions, at least 27 people have been killed and over 120 injured – all in a single day. Following its usual tactics of terror, many civilian sites have been hit.
A day that should have marked the entry into force of a ceasefire proposed by Ukraine is instead ending with a rising toll of victims from intensified Russian attacks.
There are no signs that Russia is planning to stop its senseless and brutal war, and no clear response indicating a return to diplomacy for the sake of lasting peace – only more killings.
While Russia shows no interest in saving human lives, a collective and firm position is needed from all those who support the protection of life and value peace. Terror must be stopped.

@_mind_your_biz @ralakbar @DOWResponse: The United States doesn't use JDAM-ER. It was developed by Boeing Australia & Boeing Korea. There is no shortage of any JDAM variant in US inventory in any case and Boeing maintains significant production capacity.

That estimate for Israel isn't for the same munition. They buy standard JDAMs and Ukraine is buying the ER variant.

If and when Ukraine signs a LoA for this case, the implemented value will be substantially lower than the estimate. Also don't ignore the services, which often average 40% of total value.
