Moving north, we reported earlier this month that the 🇺🇦154th Mechanized Brigade had deployed between Kalynivs’ke and Oleksiivka.
However, it now seems this may have been a Company or Battalion Tactical Group formed by troops of several brigade subunits (including the Motorized, Tank and Material Support battalions).
Sources oddly indicate these troops were attached to the 6th Battalion of the 108th TDF Brigade. This is a rare occurrence even in the Ukrainian "attachment system", as Ground Forces units generally receive Territorial Defence Forces elements - not the other way around.
The unusual task group seems to have been replaced by assault units in October, following significant Russian advances in the area.
