On the evening of 27 August, an alleged airstrike hit a school in Kyaukme, Shan state, destroying school buildings as well as damaging five houses nearby. This attack was reportedly conducted by the Myanmar Air Force (MAF) due to the presence of TNLA in Kyaukme.
