The Royal Navy is stretching it to be able to maintain the continuous at sea deterrent with 4 SSBNs total.
There was a 190 day patrol back in 2023 too. https://twitter.com/Saturnax1/status/1829836627247522000#m

The situation might be even worse with an even longer patrol in between these two.
This isn't sustainable, neither from a personell- , perhaps the biggest concern, nor a technical perspective.
The UK needs to have some serious discussions about subs.

As said before, these are very visually obvious, even more so when coming home, as was the previous green looking one.
So this one returns from 174 days at sea, which is nearly a month shorter than the last …

RT @geoallison: For those wondering how we capture our drone shots legally and safely, it’s all about meticulous planning and strict adherence to the rules. Every flight we conduct is fully authorised, with permissions secured from relevant authorities like Glasgow Air Traffic Control. We follow the Civil Aviation Authority’s guidelines to the letter, ensuring that our operations are not only legal but also prioritise safety above all else. From obtaining police incident numbers to coordinating with ATC on the day of the flight, we leave no stone unturned. So, when you see the aerial views in our reports, you can be confident that they were captured with full respect for the law and the safety of everyone involved.
