#Ethereum #FusakaUpgrade #EIP #Devnet #ConsensusLayer #ExecutionLayer #GlamsterdamUpgrade #Panews #ETH
According to PANews, the 214th Ethereum Execution Layer Core Developers Meeting revisited previous decisions and agreed to maintain the Fusaka upgrade's scope with the addition of EIP 7939. Developers confirmed the inclusion of 12 EIPs in the Fusaka upgrade: EIP-7594, EIP-7823, EIP-7825, EIP-7883, EIP-7892, EIP-7917, EIP-7918, EIP-7935, EIP-7951, EIP-7907, EIP-7934, and the newly added EIP-7939.
Adjustments were made to certain EIP implementation details, including reducing the contract code size limit in EIP-7907 from 256KB to 48KB, modifying the blob base fee parameter in EIP-7918 from 2^14 to 2^13, and transferring the maximum blob count parameter from EIP-7892 to EIP-7594. The meeting concluded that Fusaka Devnet 2 would launch on June 23, provided at least three consensus layer and three execution layer client teams are ready.
Additionally, developers discussed two new proposals for the Glamsterdam upgrade. However, due to insufficient testing data, some parameter adjustments will be postponed to the Devnet 3 phase.#Ethereum #FusakaUpgrade #EIP #Devnet #ConsensusLayer #ExecutionLayer #GlamsterdamUpgrade #Panews #ETH
🚀 Ethereum Reth Client Faces Error, Causes Node Stagnation
#Ethereum #Reth #Paradigm #ExecutionLayer #NodeStagnation #Vulnerability #Ethernodes #Rust #ETH
According to Foresight News, Paradigm's Ethereum Reth execution client encountered an error yesterday, resulting in node stagnation. Paradigm's Chief Technology Officer, Konstantopoulos, shared a set of commands to restore the nodes, although the root cause of the vulnerability remains unidentified.
The issue was reported on Paradigm's GitHub page, occurring at block height 2327426 and affecting Ethereum mainnet versions 1.6.0 and 1.4.8. Despite Konstantopoulos providing recovery commands for operators, Paradigm continues to investigate the underlying cause of the vulnerability. Reth is an Ethereum execution layer client developed by Paradigm using the Rust programming language, focusing on high performance and modularity.
Data from Ethernodes indicates that the latest vulnerability appears to impact only a small portion of nodes running on Ethereum, as 5.4% of the total execution layer clients use Reth.#Ethereum #Reth #Paradigm #ExecutionLayer #NodeStagnation #Vulnerability #Ethernodes #Rust #ETH
🚀 Ethereum Foundation Announces Fusaka Upgrade Scheduled for December
#Ethereum #FusakaUpgrade #EthereumFoundation #BlobParameterOnly #PeerDAS #BlockchainUpgrade #Layer1 #Crypto #EthereumMainnet #DecemberUpgrade #ConsensusLayer #ExecutionLayer #BlobThroughput #CryptoNews #ETH
According to Foresight News, the Ethereum Foundation has announced the Fusaka network upgrade, set to activate on the Ethereum mainnet at slot 13,164,544. The upgrade is expected to occur on December 4, 2025, at 5:49:11 UTC+8. This update introduces the Blob Parameter Only (BPO) fork, designed to safely expand blob throughput following the activation of PeerDAS.
Fusaka's primary feature, PeerDAS (Peer Data Availability Sampling), is anticipated to significantly enhance blob throughput. Additionally, Fusaka includes optimizations to both the execution and consensus layers, aiming to improve Layer 1 performance and enhance user experience.#Ethereum #FusakaUpgrade #EthereumFoundation #BlobParameterOnly #PeerDAS #BlockchainUpgrade #Layer1 #Crypto #EthereumMainnet #DecemberUpgrade #ConsensusLayer #ExecutionLayer #BlobThroughput #CryptoNews #ETH
🚀 Ethereum Developers Plan 'Glamsterdam' Upgrade for 2026

According to BlockBeats, Ethereum developers have initiated plans for the 'Glamsterdam' upgrade, aiming for a 2026 launch following the successful Fusaka upgrade, which reduced node costs. The name 'Glamsterdam' combines two simultaneous upgrades on Ethereum's core layers. The execution layer, responsible for transaction rules and smart contracts, will undergo the Amsterdam upgrade, while the consensus layer, which coordinates validators and finalizes blocks, will experience the Gloas upgrade. The upgrade focuses on proposer-builder separation (ePBS) and block-level access control lists to minimize manipulation and abuse opportunities related to maximum extractable value (MEV).#Ethereum #Glamsterdam #upgrade #Fusaka #nodecosts #executionlayer #Amsterdam #consensuslayer #Gloas #proposerbuilderseparation #ePBS #blockaccesscontrol #MEV #ETH
🚀 Starknet Releases Analysis on Recent Mainnet Outage

According to BlockBeats, Ethereum Layer 2 network Starknet has released an analysis report regarding the brief mainnet outage that occurred on January 11. The report identifies the cause of the incident as a state inconsistency between the execution layer (blockifier) and the proof layer. This inconsistency arose from a specific combination of cross-function calls and rollbacks, leading the execution layer to incorrectly record a rolled-back state, resulting in transaction execution errors. The affected transactions did not receive L1 finality confirmation.
The incident triggered a block reorganization, causing approximately 18 minutes of on-chain activity to be rolled back. This marks the second major disruption since 2025, with a previous outage in September caused by a sequencer vulnerability that led to over five hours of downtime and a rollback of about one hour of on-chain activity.#Starknet #Ethereum #Layer2 #MainnetOutage #StateInconsistency #ExecutionLayer #ProofLayer #CrossFunctionCalls #Rollbacks #TransactionErrors #L1Finality #BlockReorganization #OnChainActivity #Downtime #Blockchain #Crypto #STRK
🚀 Ethereum Developers Discuss Key Upgrades in Latest Meeting

According to BlockBeats, on January 16, the 228th Ethereum Execution Layer Core Developers Meeting (ACDE) focused on several important topics. The meeting addressed the delay in the BALs Devnet-2 scope decision due to EIP-7843 (slot opcode), which involves both the consensus and execution layers. Additionally, seven proposed EIPs were rejected from inclusion in the Glamsterdam upgrade, while EIP-7954, which proposes increasing contract size from 24KB to 32KB, was considered.
The developers also decided to continue finalizing the details of the Glamsterdam upgrade. The discussions were technical and pragmatic, aiming to quickly define the scope to avoid further delays.#Ethereum #Blockchain #Devnet #EIP7843 #ExecutionLayer #CoreDevelopers #GlamsterdamUpgrade #EIP7954 #ContractSize #TechDiscussion #EthereumUpgrade #ETH
