The guy behind the biggest collection of VR-mods for games, who was forced to take down Cyberpunk 2077 mod (due to DMCA strike from CDPR), re-released his mods for free.

But he will keep the new ones exclusive for 3-6 months for paid subscribers. And Cyberpunk mod will not be released (thanks CDPR).

Funny enough, he was a huge fan and he offered them to make it an official mod. And during the review of this idea CDPR decided that selling mods for their games is illegal. They stopped the talks and attacked him legally a few months ago.

Krafton lost the case against Subnautica 2 director and ex-CEO Ted Gill. The court orders the publisher to re-establish roles of the founders and give Ted full control over the Unknown Worlds studio and the game.

The case was rather confusing from both sides, but the judge sided with the CEO as his arguments were more consistent and reliable. The seizure of the company and termination of rights and roles of founders were done without legal grounds.

The case is not over though, they will have to settle next steps and compensations. But even now the judge extended the term for the game to earn the required sum for founders to get bonuses.

UPD: The co-founder of Digital Foundry tried to stay out of this mess. He didn't see the video, he wasn't on the showcase, and it was sent and approved outside of his scope by Richard Leadbetter (another lead and apparently co-owner).

But since the whole thing is most likely a very expensive sponsorship, he deleted the post, his avatar, some of his recent activities, and then posted "...". And we all know that DF is licking NVIDIA's butt for a couple of years now, so...
