Yeah, if you missed the point: the recent "COD lost $300m because of GamePass" isn't true in my opinion.

Both gamers and critics are disappointed in Black Ops 7.

The campaign is messy surreal and pointless. It may find the audience later, same as it happened with Black Ops 3 and Infinite Warfare.

But the story is online only, which means, the campaign will only live while servers are up. The campaign doesn't even allow you to pause it, since it's technically a Warzone-like instance running, so escape just shows the menu, while the bots are still fighting.

And the multiplayer is just a digested mix of all previous games and has no personality. They are making it all look and feel like a reference to the series and not the new game in the series.

All modern CoD games are under the same counter on Steam. According to it, the series only peaked at 87K CCU yesterday, about 40-45K over the average.

Battlefield 6 alone still holds over 270K CCU there, Arc Raiders is at 420K, Delta Force is over 200K and Escape From Duckov was at 115K CCU yesterday.

Call of Duty just lost to EFT parody with rubber ducks...

Now we know more specific numbers: Call of Duty Black Ops 7 sales in Europe are horrible, despite the extremely high production costs (according to Game Sales Data).

Meanwhile, Anno 117: Pax Romana from Ubisoft has sold around 2.5x more at launch than 2019’s Anno 1800. The game is doing much better than expected.

Black Ops 7 is already discounted on consoles, which doesn't usually happen with the most recent CoD entries even on Black Friday.

And there's no sale on Steam: apparently, they don't believe it will help there. All other CoD games are on sale on Steam right now by the way.
