And a separate review of FSR 4: it's better than DLSS 3 and any XeSS, but can't compete with DLSS 4 new model yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzomNQaPFSk
Retailers report that 9070 XT cards are arriving at stores and that they have QUITE SOME!

Just for comparison โ€” in many cases with RTX 50, NVIDIA was only able to deliver something like this for the whole network in NA. This one is from a single store. Same across NA, Europe, and UK โ€” all major networks reported that they have hundreds and thousands of cards.

Bad news, everyone: according to multiple sources, AMD is not going to keep the original MSRP. Instead, since the original stock is already almost sold out, they are planning to push it from $599 to $700+ in a few days.

It will work in a somewhat sketchy way: cheap cards will exist on paper, but will be all sold out. Ones that will be available will be priced at $700-1000.

AMD accidentally uploaded FSR4 under MIT, which means, it can't be revoked. The library was supposed to be released under commercial licence.

It's possible to fry a 9950X with certain math operations, if you do it for months in a row.

Even if the CPU is not overheating in general, it may apparently degrade in one weak spot.

Not an issue for a wide audience, but can be a problem for users who do some computations 24/7.

AMD recently announced that rDNA 1 and 2 cards will no longer get optimization updates. Which meant that all RX 6000 cards and below can be considered a paperweight sooner than later.

But when it was heavily criticized by the community they pulled out an Asus scam, saying... you got it all wrong ๐ŸŒš

For the first time in years Linux... lost a bit of market share on Steam. Seemingly, the growth of Steam Deck fanbase is no longer that significant and the transition from Windows to Linux for the average gamer isn't happening. This will not be the year ofโ€ฆ
And all the most popular graphics cards are not having sufficient VRAM for AAA games (3080 10GB and 5070 12GB are the most powerful among the first 20). Despite the developers push to higher and higher VRAM consumption and using unique textures for literally everything.

Fortunately, Radeon market share grew from 15.2% in mid-2024 to 18.5% by late 2025. Intel stays the same, since they only released B580 and B570, which wasn't enough to noticeably fill the market.

OneX just announced their OneXGPU 3, packed with 9070 XT (cut down to 180W). This is still the most powerful of such solutions and you can plug it into any USB4 / Thunderbolt 3 compatible laptop. And it will be a beast, capable of 4K gaming.

Players: we need FSR4 on our Radeon 7000 series, can you do that, AMD?

No, but take seven apps to run AI, while installing consumer grade drivers! They are only 34GB+ in size...

Yeah, same as we posted before: the FSR4 can work on RNDA 2 cards and beyond and AMD are still saying it can't.

Their promotional materials ignore the fact that half a year ago they by accident RELEASED the full FSR4 source, including a fallback for older cards.

They removed it, but they can't revoke the license and all the forks that were made a LEGAL. But AMD still pretend that FSR4 is only for 9070!
