Your Unreal Engine assets are a time bomb and you don't own them.

Just to clarify: here's how Free FAB asset looks like, after it's no longer free. You can only claim it for your tier (Personal or Pro). The majority of you are at Personal tier and can only claim it, not the higher one.

Then after the item is no longer free and in case you get income OR FUNDING that will exceed your tier to the Pro one, you owe Fab $350 for this asset alone. And potentially thousands upon thousands for all their so-called "Free Assets".

It's a huge time bomb that is currently planted in thousands of indie games and will screw them up in the next couple of years.

The texture has soft gradient which makes working with it easier for your eyes even for hours in a row. I've tried to balance out the amount of color on the final image to preserve visibility of geometry details and issues that can be missed on pure gray or too vivid UV textures.

An artist noticed that someone uploaded 35000+ AI generated 3D models as separate FAB assets. They have millions of polygons each and distorted textures, so they are kinda unusable.

Does anyone have about 50 GB on Google Drive to upload a nice backup of textures from a discontinued website?

I have no space now, but would love to upload an archive and share with the community. The website used to be under Scanned Tech domain and provided over 150 HQ scanned materials with VERY accurate PBR values.

I'm tired of sitting on this fortune alone (but yeah, in total I have a collection of about 700 GB of textures). Since this webstite provided them under (CC BY 4.0), we are all free to redistribute.

Gumroad is more annoying than I thought. Publishers have to provide payment details and it always make items "pay what you want" even if they are free.

Please, keep in mind that these textures were (and still are) under CC-BY license: you can use them freely even in commercial projects, but you should keep the original author credited.
