Yes, in a few months NVIDIA users will get this level of performance in Blender Cycles, but:
- No volumetrics support
- Better works with static objects
- Subsurface Scattering has to be static

Blender's new real-time denoiser just blew my mind!
Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) Ray Reconstruction for Blender is finally possible to build and run on NVIDIA GPUs! In this video I'm testing various scenes and how they can be denoised with DLSS in Blender.

NVIDIA wasn't doing great on Linux for ages but recently they built a team to fix it and also gathered some people from the community. And several distros were doing fixes too.
Eventually, it worked out: the 5-30% gap in performance is no longer the thing. Even the first step already gave users up to +12% of gaming performance in the new Ubuntu 26.04. About 20% more and it will get the parity with Windows π«

NVIDIA just casually dropped RTX version of Godot Engine:
The community admired and hated it at the same time. The overall hype over RTX is rather annoying for indie devs. Bugs and overall low quality of the port added up to the negative reception. But for some fans it looks like hope that Godot can further extend to mainstream.
UPD: They vibe coded this shit π«

UPD: The co-founder of Digital Foundry tried to stay out of this mess. He didn't see the video, he wasn't on the showcase, and it was sent and approved outside of his scope by Richard Leadbetter (another lead and apparently co-owner).
But since the whole thing is most likely a very expensive sponsorship, he deleted the post, his avatar, some of his recent activities, and then posted "...". And we all know that DF is licking NVIDIA's butt for a couple of years now, so...
