I've wasted a bit of time this weekend to test Bazzite and Linux Mint 22. All on Win Max 2020, Intel 1035G7, 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM. Bazzite: a fork of Steam OS, that works everywhere. Fine for games, completely pointless for anything else. Hard to extend, notβ¦
Jay is also on Linux now: on a damn Bazzite I told you never use. Use Mint 22, it's just the most stable and predictable out there for any ex-Windows user.

Linus Torvalds rejected the code from Google programmer who tried to improve the Risk V support.
And in his casual manner the creator of Linux was pointlessly rude. Each time I get curious about toxicity of Linux enthusiasts, I remember who founded all that.

After like a couple of months on Linux as my laptop OS, I can yet again say: it's easier to debloat Windows 11 than make Linux worth it:
- Missing features
- Worse alternatives
- Incompatible apps
- Random bugs
- Performance issues
Oddly enough, Linux may be absolutely perfect for single player gaming rig. It works oddly good with modern games on average. But for any serious and versatile usage Windows is the only choice.
It took me like 30 minutes to cut Windows 11 from all unwanted features and now it's already times better than Linux for my needs. MS even supports proper SSH via the default terminal these days.
