In just an hour The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered reached over 76K concurrent players on Steam, despite being a 120GB game which was released right after the announcement.
All that in the middle of the week and without a traditional marketing campaign. I'm sure that right now more remakes are being approved behind the curtains.

Apparently, Bethesda was working on the online game that was supposed to utilize the new engine they have created. But it all got cancelled today.
They also shut down the team behind Forza Motorsport and some other projects. I see dozens and dozens of posts like this on LinkedIn.
