The first signal will be acquired from Svalbard ground station (Svalsat).
Svalsat's location at 78° North latitude provides a unique advantage for tracking and communicating with satellites in polar orbits.

✅ we are currently missing data for data for accurate short-term forecasts: this satellite will do exactly that
✅ its development was faster and cheaper than the standard EO mission
✅ it's the prototype for a much bigger constellation that we would build for @eumetsat
