AAVSO Alert Notice - Observing Campaign #911: Crucial photometry requested for ASASSN-20pv HST observation - UPDATE

AAVSO Observing Campaign #911 on ASASSN-20pv (Vel) has been updated to include more precise coordinates for the target and revised instructions for identifying it. This update was necessary due to the presence of an extremely close companion to the target that could easily cause observers to mis-identify the variable and report a false magnitude. Instructions are given in the Alert Notice for using VSP to generate a chart clearly separating the target and companion. Also, the researcher, Dr. Pala, has provided a finder chart with the target clearly identified; this chart is posted in the discussion forum for the campaign.
