With the Spirit of Kobani’s Resistance, We Will Always Secure Victory

On the anniversary of the liberation of Kobani, the YPJ General Command published a statement: "On the occasion of the anniversary of Kobani’s liberation, we remember with gratitude all the martyrs who gave their lives in this great resistance, starting with the martyrs Arîn, Rêvan, Viyan, Mîdîa, and Zehra. We pay tribute and salute the resistance of our people and all revolutionaries striving for freedom. We walk in the footsteps of our martyrs and are determined to continue the struggle for freedom until the last breath."

Solidarity with the Kurdish Resistance in Chiapas

In San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, a meeting was held on the revolution in northern and eastern Syria, the resistance of the Kurdish people, and the thoughts of Abdullah Öcalan and Omar Aziz. Dozens of people gathered at the Paliacate to listen to firsthand testimonies, watch videos, and discuss the current situation in Syria and Kurdistan.

The discussion focused on Öcalan’s struggle for peace despite his detention for over 26 years, and on Omar Aziz’s contribution to community self-organization. The evening sparked questions and debates, with the most recurring one being: "What can we do to support this revolution?" During the event, stickers and flyers were distributed to denounce the Turkish violence against the autonomous government of northeastern Syria. This is not the first solidarity initiative in San Cristóbal, a city near the Zapatista territory, and it certainly won’t be the last, continuing to be a reference point for international struggle.
