🌼 For Zozan Hemo, Kerem Ehmed El Shihab El Hemed and Azad Ferhan Mihemed Hesan killed by a Turkish drone attack on the road to the dam on 8 Jan
🌱 For Omer Hisên Derwêş, Osman Mustefa Îbrahîm and Basim Omer killed by a Turkish drone strike as they arrived at the car park in front of the dam on Jan.
🌺 For Ekrem Rixo, Kêfo Osman, Menîce Heyder, Mizefer Mihemed, Ebdulqadir Îbrahîm and Cuma Xelîl, who were killed by a secondary drone attack as they rushed to rescue victims of a first attack targeting the crowd on the dam.

A voice message reached us from a women’s rights activist who is now on Tishreen Dam in North East Syria / Rojava.
The people there are leading a great resistance against the occupation attempts of the Turkish state, targeting even civilians with their cowardly air strikes!
There have been 6 attacks since the beginning of the peaceful civil protest, with 22 people killed and over 140 injured - and still the people continue to resist!

📢 We Are Tishreen: Join the action days for Kobanê and Tishreen!
From the protest camp at the Tishrin Dam in Rojava, North-East Syria we call on all the youth organizations, socialists, antifascists, ecologist, women’s movements and everyone that stands against war to speak up to the war crimes being committed by the Turkish state on the Tishreen Dam and to start actions to stop the attacks.
The action to protect the Tishrin dam is not only in North-East Syria but has to spread everywhere! We call on everyone to join the action day on the 25th and 26th and together we will bring an end to the attacks on the Tishreen dam!

Centri Sociali del Nord-est (The Northeast Social Centers) Initiative and Ya Basta! Êdî Bese! have released a statement on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Kobanê's liberation:
"We must defend Kobanê today just as we did 10 years ago. Today, defending Kobanê also means protecting the Tişrîn Dam and exposing what is happening there. The same principle holds true now as it did then: defending Kobanê is defending the Rojava revolution."

On the anniversary of the liberation of Kobani, the YPJ General Command published a statement: "On the occasion of the anniversary of Kobani’s liberation, we remember with gratitude all the martyrs who gave their lives in this great resistance, starting with the martyrs Arîn, Rêvan, Viyan, Mîdîa, and Zehra. We pay tribute and salute the resistance of our people and all revolutionaries striving for freedom. We walk in the footsteps of our martyrs and are determined to continue the struggle for freedom until the last breath."

The war in Syria didn’t end with Assad’s fall. Turkey continues its aggression on Northeast Syria and aims to capture Kobanê – a symbol of resistance and freedom.
For weeks, people have been defending the strategic Tishrin Dam through vigils, standing firm against Erdoğan’s militias. Yet Turkish airstrikes have already killed 19 civilians and injured over 100.
But the people refuse to back down – they are fighting for their land, their freedom, and peace. ✊
Today, we took to the streets with banners and protests to show our solidarity. We demand: Stop the attacks on Northeast Syria, stop Turkey’s war crimes! Austria must take a stand and support the democratic resistance in Syria. It’s time for democracy and peace!

In a powerful open letter, over 650 women from across the globe call for international recognition of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) and demand a democratic Syria built on gender equality and grassroots governance.
“Now is the time to strengthen the democratic forces in the Middle East, like the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), and to stand with the women fighting for freedom, peace, and democracy in Syria!” declared over 650 women leaders, activists, and organisations from around 40 countries in an open letter addressed to United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and other global leaders on Tuesday.
