Universal Engineering College, Vallivattom, Thrissur is hosting a 5 days (10/08/2020 - 14/08/2020) Faculty Development Programme on MOODLE Learning Management System organized by IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial, for faculties in all departments. Spoken Tutorial is an initiative of National Mission on Education through ICT, MHRD, Govt.of India, to promote IT literacy through Open Source Software.
In the present situation the whole world is passing through a digital revolution. This change reflects a lot in education sector also. The real classroom was converted into a digital classroom. As the world and the technology changes the faculties should change from the traditional teaching method to a new online platform. But the online platform you choose for it should be flawless and make you feel like a real classroom. Here it comes the importance of MOODLE software
The MOODLE is learning management system. It is a learning platform which can enhance learning environments. This software is used for blended learning, distance education, online classroom and other e-learning projects in schools and universities. The main aim of the FDP is to train the faculties to establish a new learning platform for online teaching. By completing the 5 days training section the participants will get an overall knowledge in the usage of MOODLE software. The participants can able to convert the whole classroom into an online platform by giving live classes and assignments to students, making quizzes or exams and generating the reports.
The timing of FDP is flexible as per the convenience of the participants. Daily we will post the link of videos of the session through Whatapp. The participants can learn the content through that link in their convenient time. The entire link will be active for the 5 days of entire FDP. After the 5 days session there will be online assessment through Google Meet. E-Certificate will be given to all participants by Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay for those who successfully complete the 5 days FDP and online assessment.
