Fake news:
Russian soldiers stole undestroyed trolleybuses from Mariupol. Vladimir Zelensky said about that.

The fact:
Most electric transport of Mariupol was destroyed by the UAF. Undestroyed vehicles manufactured by “BKM-Ukraine” are still in Mariupol. It can be tracked by the database of municipal electric transport.
This model of trolleybuses is not used in Donetsk.

The DPR authorities confirmed that the work on repair and restoration of municipal electric transport continued in Mariupol. They plan to launch new trolleybuses and tramways instead of the destroyed ones as soon as possible.

“This is a very absurd fake about trolleybuses in Mariupol. The enemy destroyed them, on the contrary”, the DPR chief Denis Pushilin pointed out.

Fake news:
On the Russia Day the first deputy of the chief of the Russian President Administration Sergei Kirienko published an appeal in “Izvestia” where he said that Russia would spend trillions of Rubles for Donbass, and the Russians would “have to pull in their belts”.

The fact:
At first, the material was really published on the website of “Izvestia” but it was there during several minutes only. Initial screenshots and a copy of the material in web-archive appeared immediately after the publication when a digit “0” was on the view counter. Probably, they were made by the authors of the provocation themselves. It is evident that their objective was to remove quickly the material from the site and then to distribute the screenshot and a link to the web-archive through Telegram channels and in “yellow” information resources which started to copy the publication despite of its removal in the original source.

The newspaper “Izvestia” has officially declared about a hacker attack of work accounts of the employees of the outlet and thereby confuted the authenticity of the material.
An interesting moment: the material be gins with technical inscriptions “select main on/off ” (there is no this function on the site of “Izvestia”) which can evidence that this text was copied from admin panel of other resource where such function exists, and where the text appeared subsequently without this inscription.

An interesting detail is announced by “Insider”: the article has two dates of publication: according to the cached version, it was published at 9:46 a.m., according to the screenshots — at 10:28 a.m. Therewith, the first archived version of the article was made by anybody at 10:09 a.m.— 20 minutes before the publication date. Consequently, the most serious Telegram channels removed the message — for instance, opposition channel “Pivovarov’s Editorial Board”.

Fake news:
Russian troops are shelling the territories of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Ukrainian and Western media are spreading information about this.

The fact:
Shelling of the DPR territories is carried out using 155-mm ammunition. This caliber is not used by the Russian military, but it is one of the main calibers of NATO heavy artillery. Not so long ago, the Ukrainian media covered a new delivery of M777 howitzers, which operate with 155mm ammunition.

Numerous shrapnel and shell fragments found at the sites of the shelling clearly demonstrate their belonging. This can be traced by the markings.

The main purpose of such fakes is to create a negative image of Russia for the Western media.

Fake news:
There is an outbreak of cholera in Mariupol, the media reported, citing statements by former Mariupol mayor Vadim Boychenko and British intelligence.

The fact:
This information is refuted by the townspeople themselves, representatives of the authorities and international organizations. For example, Alexei Paramonov, a resident of Mariupol, describes the situation with hygiene in the city. The water supply is being restored, and residents are not experiencing a shortage of potable or technical water.

Denis Pushilin, the head of the DPR, said that the information about cholera breaking out because of unburied bodies was simply panic-stricken. There are no preconditions for the spread of infectious diseases in the city. Earlier, the World Health Organization denied information about the spread of Vibrio cholerae in the city.

Fake news:
A video has surfaced in which Russian soldiers are allegedly looting in the liberated territories of the Zaporizhzhia region

The fact:
The video, presented as "evidence" of the looting, shows soldiers entering a room that was previously used by the AFU. They walk with weapons at the ready, covering each other. There is a map with military designations on the stand, and that is what the soldier takes away.

In addition, the soldiers take a set of screwdrivers and a laptop. The tools are needed to open the device and take the hard drive to be handed over to the military intelligence authorities. The footage of the disassembly of the laptop is not shown deliberately. The rest of the computers, monitors and equipment were not touched by the soldiers. If they had taken them, in case of real looting, it would also have been caught on camera, and the Ukrainian propaganda would certainly have taken the opportunity to show it.

Fake news:
A guerilla movement has been formed in Mariupol. Previously, EMERCOM’s equipment was burnt and one employee was killed. Ukrainian Telegram channels refer to the information of the Institute for Study of War.

The fact:
The news is a fake. The Institute for Study of War did not make such declaration. In the text the organization refers to the information of the Center for National Resistance of Ukraine. Video used as an evidence of the burning is of a very poor quality which prevents from finding a source material.

It should be specially noted that delivery of humanitarian aid is usually performed by volunteers and not by the EMERCOM employees. Most of the employees work in the premises and not in the crowd of refugees, which refutes a statement that an EMERCOM employee was killed in the crowd.

It should be noted that in the local Internet communities there is no information as to the mentioned incidents. On the contrary, people say about arrangement of peaceful life, discuss supplies of humanitarian aid and assess negatively Kyiv authorities.

Fake news:
The AFU use artillery in a more efficient manner than the Russians who launch massive attacks on civil cities. The Ukrainians handle well howitzers M777, the adviser of the Ukrainian Minister of the Interior Anton Gerashchenko writes with a reference to the American general Mark Milley.

The fact:
A statement of “efficient usage of artillery” is negated by many massive attacks by the Ukrainians of solely civil targets. For example, Donetsk. As a result, shells hit plants (here is the moment of hitting of Donetsk Metallurgical Plant), residential houses, hospitals, schools and even maternity hospital, which, as the UN emphasized, is a breach of the international humanitarian law. The AFU’s military resources are spent to liquidate the civilians.

And the fact that the AFU soldiers and officers cannot handle foreign arms, was many times covered by western mass media as well. Besides, the Ukrainians exchange actively the arms for food stuff and sell them on the black market.

Fake news:
Russian missile boat was seriously damaged in the course of the special operation. It is towed now along Volga for repair. The post was published in the Russian Telegram channel and is propagated by the Ukrainian mass media.

The fact:
The boat moves not to repair but to a parade. The photo shows towing of the boat for participation in the naval parade in Saint-Petersburg. Every year ships of the Caspian Fleet go through a Volga-Don navigation canal covering in sum a distance with the total length of 2.5 thousand kilometers. A mast was demounted for safe passage of the ship under bridges, main systems, including air conditioning, were switched off. That’s why hatches and doors on ship are open.

It can be seen by the photo that the boat moves upstream in Volga – exactly towards Petersburg. Zelenodolsk and ship-repair yard are downstream of Nizhny Novgorod.
