Today is my last day as CEO of Apple. This is a moment I always knew would come one day, and yet it is still hard to believe it has arrived and I am writing these words. I love this company and the team behind it, and I couldn’t let this day pass without sending a note to you, to tell you how grateful I am for the outpouring of affection you’ve sent my way, for the way you’ve shown up each and every day, and most of all, for the privilege of a lifetime serving as your leader.

Embox предназначена для встраиваемых систем. Главной идей является использование ПО для Linux без Linux. ОС является POSIX-совместимой и кроссплатформенной (ARM, MIPS, x86, RISC-V, Microblaze, SPARC, PowerPC, E2K), имеет аналог ./configure; make; make install, поддерживает C++. Есть поддержка ряда файловых систем: FAT, ext2/3/4, поддержка сетевого, графического и остальных системных стеков. Доступны популярные ЯП: Python, Lisp TCL, Ruby, Lua, JS, Scheme.
ОС написана на языке C, отличается гибкой конфигурируемостью на уровне исходных текстов имеет аналог описания аппаратуры device tree. Это делает создание конечных устройств на базе проекта очень простой задачей.
Embox распространяется на условиях двухпунктной лицензии BSD.
Embox включена в реестр российского ПО.
Отдельно обращаем внимание на добавление и улучшение поддержки подсистем для различной периферии (моторов, датчиков, CAN подсистемы, USB в режиме устройства), а также улучшение поддержки проекта Ardupilot и улучшение поддержки российских чипов. Данные работы позволяют создать открытую платформу для создания полетных контроллеров на российской элементной базе.

Релиз Firefox 155

Состоялся релиз web-браузера Firefox 155 и сформированы обновления прошлых веток с длительным сроком поддержки - 153.2.0, 140.15.0 и 115.40.0. Firefox 155 стал первым выпусков, сформированным в рамках нового двухнедельного цикла формирования релизов, который позволит чаще доводить новые возможности до пользователей, обеспечит более предсказуемый процесс формирования релизов и снизит нагрузку на разработчиков перед релизами. На стадию бета-тестирования переведена ветка Firefox 156, релиз которой намечен на 15 сентября.

Microsoft and AWS have launched matching preview services for private connectivity between Azure and AWS, replacing a traditionally complex collection of circuits, routers, and routing sessions with a managed intercloud link. The service is available now in four regions at up to 1 Gbps per connection, while Microsoft plans to support connections of up to 100 Gbps when it reaches general availability.

Anthropic Claude Fable 5.1 launches with lower costs and customer-controlled data

Anthropic has released Claude Fable 5.1 with higher coding and reasoning performance, lower token costs, and a new privacy model for enterprises. CrowdStrike’s SafeMind aims to drive breakout time to zero

CrowdStrike says its new SafeMind system can reduce attacker breakout time to zero by having two AI models continuously attack and repair a simulated copy of an organization’s environment. The announcement follows the company’s move to put more than 50 Falcon IQ agents to work on security analysis, but SafeMind takes the concept further with an autonomous red-team/blue-team loop.
