Chinese President Xi Jinping has told North Korean leader Kim Jong-un that the two countries should step up communication amid heightened tensions on the Korean peninsula.

“The international and regional situations are now changing seriously and in a complicated way,” Xi told Kim, according to the Korean Central News Agency.

“I am willing to strengthen strategic communication with Comrade General Secretary, jointly lead the direction of development of China-DPRK relations, and promote friendly cooperation between the two sides to a higher level,” the message said

Russia has resumed supplying oil to North Korea for the first time since 2020, deepening cooperation between the two countries, which the U.S. says also includes sending weapons from Pyongyang to help the Kremlin.

A U.N. sanctions committee report released this week said Russia began sending oil products to North Korea in December 2022, and that continued through 2023. The data showed that Russia has sent about 67,000 barrels of oil since it resumed supplies.

Det verkar som att amerikanska YouTube nu stängt ner dessa tre kanaler sedan ovanstående publicerades. Vardagsliv i norra Korea är tydligen något som vi inte ska få se något av. Man kan anta att det i så fall skulle bli för stort kontrast mot den mycket negativa bilden av landet som vi annars matas med i den västerländska massmediapropagandan.

Den 27 juli är 70-årsdagen av segern i Koreakriget, eller ”det stora kriget för att försvara fosterlandet”, som koreanerna säger, alltså den dagen då USA efter tre års barbariskt krig för att lägga under sig hela Koreahalvön tvingades underteckna avtalet om eldupphör och lova förhandlingar om bortdragande av alla främmande trupper från Korea.
