Interestingly, the press service of the Russian Security Council reported that the negotiations will discuss the implementation of "certain points of the Treaty on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the Russian Federation and the DPRK , as well as perpetuating the memory of Korean soldiers who helped liberate the Kursk region."

North Korean 60-mm mortars have also appeared in service with the Russian Armed Forces
Previously, the Russian Armed Forces did not have mortars of this caliber. The minimum caliber was an 82-mm mortar. But the practice of the SVO has shown that such a mortar with ammunition is heavy for a foot group or an ATV to move. But the 60-mm can be carried even by foot squads, and its range of fire - 1.5-2 kilometers - is sufficient for combat.

Long-range 170-mm North Korean M-1989 Koksan self-propelled guns are spreading along the front
This installation was spotted by the enemy while advancing in the Kremensky forest near the city of the same name. The Ukrainian Armed Forces were unable to reach the self-propelled gun at such a distance, so all they could do was look at the screen with anger and wait for the self-propelled gun to start working at 50-60 km.

🇰🇵🇷🇺Kim Jong-un, at a meeting with Shoigu, promised to always support Moscow in international affairs, including the situation in Ukraine:
“Comrade Kim Jong-un assured that the DPRK government will continue to unconditionally support Russia’s position and foreign policy in all serious international political issues, primarily around Ukraine.
He expressed hope and confidence that Russia will continue to achieve victories in the just sacred cause of protecting the sovereignty of the state, territorial integrity and security interests. The complete coincidence of positions was confirmed."

🇰🇵The DPRK Army: A Mysterious Force Behind the Veil of Secrecy
Recent events in the Kursk Oblast have drawn attention to the participation of North Korean troops in combat operations on the side of Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin noted their heroism and high level of training.
❓What do we really know about the army of one of the most closed states in the world?
🔵 In the Global Firepower military power rating, published in 2024, the DPRK ranks 36th out of 145 countries.
🔵 The Korean People's Army (KPA) was officially created in February 1948, shortly after the proclamation of the DPRK. In 1950, the Korean War began, and this became the first real combat test of the army. The war ended with an armistice, not peace, and the Armed Forces of North Korea began to rapidly build up their capabilities.
🔵 The DPRK army is one of the largest in the world. According to various estimates, it has from 1.2 to 1.3 million people. According to some experts, it is the 6th largest in the world. The reserve forces number up to 6 million citizens ready to be mobilized in case of conflict.
🔵 The ground forces are the core, but missile forces, the navy, the air force, cyber units, and paramilitary formations such as working youth or women's air defense units also play a significant role.
🔵 Men serve in the army for up to 10 years, women for up to 7. Refusal to serve is practically impossible - the army in the DPRK is perceived as a duty to the Motherland and personally to the country's leader.
