Russia regards as a provocation the organization by the United States of a meeting of the UN Security Council on the subject of human rights in the DPRK, the permanent mission of the Russian Federation said.

It is noted that linking the topic of human rights in the DPRK with the issues of peace and security in the UN Security Council is absolutely artificial.

If the US imperialists get their way and provoke a war on the Korean peninsular, two things are clear:

1. The imperialists will get more than they bargained for. The DPRK is ready to defend itself by any means necessary.

2. Workers of the world must give full support the DPRK and popular forces against imperialism, no matter who appears to 'fire the first shot'. This war will be a continuation of the war that was fought 70 years ago; a war in defence of the socialist DPRK and a continuation of the entire Korean people's national-liberation struggle.

This last point is going to be especially important because there is no doubt we will be drowned in a sea of hysterical propaganda blaming the victims for the crime and encouraging us to believe that 'justice' is on the side of the USA in its quest to annihilate socialist north Korea -- a country that never invaded anyone and whose only 'crime' is to defend its people's right to sovereignty, independence; their right to planned, rational, human-centred development (also known as socialism).

The following commentary comes from a Korean Central News Agency article which has been written in response to the recent Camp David summit (USA, regional sidekick Japan and colonial lackey south Korea) essentially furthering the project of bringing Nato or Nato mark 2 into the Pacific) and the latest mass nuclear war rehearsals taking place in occupied south Korea.

"It is as clear as noonday that the war rehearsal, daubed with such bellicose rhetoric as 'occupation', 'annihilation', 'decapitation' and 'scorched earth' and staged on the 'largest scale and content in history', is targeting the DPRK.

"The prevailing situation requires the Korean People’s Army to take the initiative, offensive and overwhelming action for a war.

"The will to punish the hostile forces threatening the sovereignty of our state and the right to existence of our people for decades is waiting for a moment of percussion.

"The armed forces of the DPRK will wait for the time."

Putin answered the question whether Russia will help the DPRK build satellites: that’s why we came to the Vostochny Cosmodrome .

“The leader of the DPRK shows great interest in rocket technology, and they are trying to develop space,” the Russian president noted.

❗️ Putin was asked whether military-technical cooperation would be discussed during negotiations with the leader of the DPRK.

“We’ll talk about all the issues, slowly. There is time,” the president replied.

Putin on the outcome of talks with Kim Jong-un: The chairman has a big program ahead of him. He will fly from here to Komsomolsk-on-Amur and visit factories where aircraft, both civilian and military, are manufactured. Then he will be in Vladivostok, where there is also a military part under the Ministry of Defense. It consists of demonstrating the capabilities of the Pacific Fleet and several issues related to the environment, education. He is to visit the Russian Federal University, see some facilities of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a laboratory that deals with marine biology.

The program is large, so it is too early to summarize any results. But the beginning is good, very productive. There was a frank exchange of views on the situation in the region, on bilateral relations. We suffered a lot of damage from the kovid, when the DPRK was virtually closed off from the outside world. But we have a lot of interesting projects: transportation, logistics, railroads, automobile work, resumption of the sea fleet, where we can make a very good logistic triangle, a highway to China. Here you can increase the volume of transportation many times over. We talked about the development of agriculture. We have a lot to offer in this regard. We also provide humanitarian aid. In addition to humanitarian aid, there is an opportunity to work on an equal footing. The prospects are not bad. [You didn't say a word about military cooperation] There are certain restrictions, Russia respects them all. There are things we can talk about, we discuss, we think. Russia is a self-sufficient country, but there are things we can pay attention to, we discuss them.
