Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said,

"Aiding the poor by feeding them in the month of Ramadan is from the Sunan (traditions) of Islam."

Refer to Majmu' al-Fatawa (25/289) of Ibn Taymiyyah.

Shaykh al-Islam 'Abd al-'Aziz Ibn Baz said,

"I do not know of anything specifically stipulated for welcoming Ramadan other than that the Muslim welcomes it with joy, happiness, delight and gratefulness to Allah for having reached it, for granting him success to be one of the living who compete in righteous deeds, since reaching Ramadan is a great blessing from Allah."

When To Revise the Qur'an and Recite in #Ramadan   

Imam Ibn Rajab (d.795H) - رحمه الله - said:

There occurs in the hadith of Ibn Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) that, "The review (of the Qur'an) between the Prophet (ﷺ) and Jibra'il occured at night."

This is evidence of the desirability of increasing in recitation during the nights of Ramadan, since at night, the distractions are cut off, concerns are gathered together and the heart and the tongue agree upon comtemplation, as Allah the Exalted said,

"Indeed, the rising by night (for Tahajjud Prayer) is very hard and most potent and good for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (understanding) the Word (of Allah)." [Surah al-Muzzammil 73:6]
