A follower of the Ignoble Drew Ali came to the masjid to allegedly learn about Islam, but got angry and left when the falseness of the so called Moorish American creed was pointed out.
Afterward, 12 year old Emmanuel who witnessed this exchange since he was visiting the masjid along with his older Muslim brother said he was now ready to be Muslim!

Advice for Starting #Ramadan
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (d.728H)
Shaykh al-Islam 'Abd al-'Aziz Ibn Baz (d.1420H)
رحمهما الله
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said,
"Aiding the poor by feeding them in the month of Ramadan is from the Sunan (traditions) of Islam."
Refer to Majmu' al-Fatawa (25/289) of Ibn Taymiyyah.
Shaykh al-Islam 'Abd al-'Aziz Ibn Baz said,
"I do not know of anything specifically stipulated for welcoming Ramadan other than that the Muslim welcomes it with joy, happiness, delight and gratefulness to Allah for having reached it, for granting him success to be one of the living who compete in righteous deeds, since reaching Ramadan is a great blessing from Allah."
Refer to Majmu' al-Fatawa (15/9) of Ibn Baz.

Regarding the Nature of the Excellence of the Arabs and the Saying of the Shuʿūbiyyah
Shaykh Ibn Bāz (رحمه الله) said:
"Hence, al-Ṣiddīq, ʿUmar, ʿUthmān, ʿAlī and the rest of the ten (promised Paradise), and others from the Anṣār and Muḥājirīn, they have great excellence, and similarly, those who followed them upon goodness in carrying knowledge, and making jihād in Allāh’s path, until they spread Allāh’s religion and taught it to the people, regardless of whether they are Arabs or non-Arabs.
They have a great right upon the later Muslims in supplicating for them, asking for Allāḥ’s pleasure for them, thanking them for what they did, and loving them for that."
